Greetings Hockey Fanatics,
I would like to introduce myself as the commissioner of the greatest professional hockey simulation on the planet, at least for Playstation 3- Total Action Smash-mouth Hockey (TASH). Some of you reading this might believe I’m prone to exaggerating, but I’m being truthful when I say the Total Action brand is the most immersive owner/player sports simulation around. We’ve proven it by being the highest rated Sony league on http://online.2ksports.com for the last two years, producing numerous podcasts for owners and fans alike, posting news articles and a level of league activity that puts other leagues to shame.
HOW TO APPLY / TRY-OUT****
We're looking for a few good owners to join our league as we embark on the first year of the Sony Playstation3 platform.
The current TASH owners and I would like to invite you to an open try-out to become an owner in this upcoming season of TASH on the PS3 2k8 platform. We’re accepting mature, dedicated gamers that love the game of hockey and are looking for something more than your average hockey pool. If interested, please fill out an application at http://totalactionhockey.com/ as soon as possible and someone will contact you regarding a try-out schedule. If you’re not yet convinced to join, let me tell you a little bit about Total Action Hockey:
Just into our fifth season on the Sony platform, the Total Action brand now boasts three fully managed Xbox 360 leagues across both available hockey simulation titles. We are no longer simply the most popular league on 2ksports Sony-side, but we’ve grown in to a bone fide hockey community across several platforms and the web! If you’re looking for an organized, mature, and (most importantly) entertaining league simulation experience, I mean it when I say 2k8 Total Action Hockey on PS3 is the place to be.
Let’s face it. Slumming in the advanced lobby or franchise mode of NHL 2k8 isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. Most of us just want to play a real game of hockey but thats nearly impossible online. It’s hard to find random opponents that would rather play hockey than pump their win column, or goals per game average by any means necessary- including exploits. That’s the TASH advantage: We guarantee highly skilled, carefully screened opponents by way of our try-out system and stringent rules with no exploits. Just hardcore simulation hockey. Be the GM/coach, scout, and play as the players. I won’t lie, it takes dedication to play and win in TASH but we think you have what it takes.
The Total Action Smash-mouth Hockey league tries to emulate a simulation style of gameplay that rewards sound defensive play and offensive playmaking ability. If you’re tired of one-timer festivals and s-move addicts, you will find our on-the-ice product to be the most exciting and enjoyable hockey simulations around. Our settings are much closer to real NHL playoff hockey, where the refs don’t sweat the small stuff and stars are allowed to shine (for a price). That’s what I call smash-mouth hockey!
Our settings, if you’d like to check them out before your try-out, are available (and updated regularly) right from the 2ksports online settings sharing menu from your PS3 2k8 game disc.
That’s not all! By successfully trying out for TASH, you not only will be awarded an official franchise draft choice for the upcoming season but also earn a chance at The Lord Action Pint and other prizes. TASH winners will receive their very own replica Lord Action Pint with their franchise logo on the side, while league awards will be presented in the form of small prizes to the highest performing owners.
