Since there are so many threads about "rate my team" "whos the best____?" "What abilities should ____get?" I figured we could just put ever roster question into 1 thread.

I'll start it. There are two teams who I have had decent success w/ online, which do you think I should use or tweak.

Team 1:

I like team number two. Plague gave me advice about my team which I use for my favorite online team. No D-Line Legends (They're not useless but you don't really need them). What seems to be effective for me against the pass and the run is putting your defensive legends in the secondary and linebackers. For example, I have Rod Woodson and McDaniel for my corners, I have Leroy Butler and Eugene Robinson for my safeties, and have Greg Lloyd and Pepper Johnson for my linebackers. So thats the formula I mostly use now when it comes to making teams, though I only use two different ones.

Agree that D-lineman are not practical in this game. But lately I've been using Harvey Martin ( bronze) DE with Sack Master. He is the only bronze star with that abbility and is way better than Dexter Manely.

I disagree about the D-Lineman being useless. The D-Lineman can shut down the inside and out isolation run as well as reduce the amount of time a QB has to pass without having to sacrifice a LB to blitz. I always have 1 to 2 D-Lineman on any team of mine.

I disagree as well, defensive linemen usually come up HUGE for me, especially because most gamers don't care to put any Legend offensive linemen on their team thus creating a huge mismatch from the start.

It's tough b/c I run a run and shoot w/ team one and and the offense is effective. BUT, my defense is better w/ team two, but my offense suffers

I'd say do this... find which side of the ball you're best at and either use a majority of your Legends in that spot so you can completely dominate that part of the game and win OR use your Legends on the side of the ball that you're worse at so that your short-comings are covered. Toy around with that and see how it goes.
