I'm assuming it's like NCAA Football. You create a recruit, but you have to recruit them on your own. There's no promises that the recruit you create will end up at your school. I've had bad experiences with this feature in NCAA Football; probably won't bother with it in this game.

Assuming it's the same as NCAA, you'll have the opportunity to create a recruit at the beginning of each off season. You'll be able to probably give him a name, position, select his home state and all that good stuff. After that, he goes into the recruit pool where he is fair game for any school. So, all things considered, the chances of a recruit you make landing on your campus is slim.
Also, most people would make this recruit awesome (I know I would). If you're a weak school in Legacy Mode, the recruit you make won't even think about your school. Like I said before, it isn't really much fun for me.

I wonder if the user will control the player or will it be one of those create-a-player for the recruiting pool type of deals.

the feature will be there, but no promise it will be the one described above.
I havent read anywhere what it will actually be, although I am hoping it will be like Campus Legend.
Campus Legend: You can play at almost any school u want as a recruit. However you have to practice and earn points to move up in the depth chart until you are a starting player.

So, it's very similar to NCCA Football then. Do you know if you'll have to "tryout" to see what star recruit you are?

I was commenting that I hope it is more like campus legend than the make a recruit while coaching a legacy in NCAA Football.
I havent read anything that actually describes this aspect of the program. One can only hope!

Yeah, that would be nice. I like the Legacy Mode, but it would be nice to take a recruit (yourself) through your high school state tournament and then get recruited. Maybe in the next few years.

Nope just Next Gen has the create-Recruit. So it would be a good idea to just go next gen because it seems like there not putting much into the ps2 and regular xbox's any more. But if i was you i would go with the PS3. Its much deeper and Online is Free and runs just as smooth as the 360's Xbox Live. PS3 Graphics are better and just everything about the ps3 is nice. but heres the ps2's game features.
PLAYSTATION®2 Features:
6th Man Advantage - Give your home team the advantage on the floor with the energy of the crowd.
Maximum Passing - One press of a button puts a full slate of pass options at your fingertips.
On-the-Fly Coaching - Call plays, queue up subs, check on your players and even change coaching settings without ever having to pause the action.
Range Meter - Know the right spots on the floor for each player to take their shots and minimize missed buckets.
2K Soundtrack - Featuring Jurassic 5, J. Dilla, MF Doom, Dilated Peoples, The Kooks, The Black Lips and more.
2KU - Completely redesigned arena atmosphere creates the most authentic college basketball experience ever.

Free Online is the ONLY upside of the PS3, the Online on the 360 is deeper, the community is bigger. Graphics are also better then the PS3 by far.

LMAO are you serious...... Graphics on ps3 are by far better then 360. I have owned both systems you are just what they call a Fan Boy

well i cant see any system having "by far" better graphics than the other. they both look nearly identical.
and wouldn't that make you as much of a fan boy as him? (if we use your criteria) you basically just repeated the exact thing he said for the other system.

nah on basic tv they look identical but when you put each on an HDTV the ps3 has better graphics. plus ps3 reaches the full 1080p when the 360 only eaches 1080i. And if was a fan boy i wouldnt have owned a 360 for almost a year.

Sorry Have to disagree , I currently own both systems , there are upsides to both and downsides to both , Ive sent both systems back on different occasions for repair , there are certain games that are system exclusive that I do like for both PS3 and 360 , however having delt with sony for years (PS1 days) I will give them this much credit ps3 is by far the best product all and all they have come out with , however with that being said I play my 360 more mainly for x-box live which statisticaly does have a bigger community , the online is more user friendly and I know that all Ill ever have to pay is just for the x-box live which isnt true for PS3 , everyone says online is free and that is true to a point but un like x-box PS3 doent have any pre-existing agreements with game company's that dont allow them to charge for online play , which is somthing Microsoft implamented after that FInal Fantsay crap game came out. So games on PS3 have the potential to charge you for online services any and all of them where as on x-box they rapped it all up in a monthly fee with Live , which is a bargain

with that said, are you still trying to tell me that the ps3 version is "by far" the better looking game? if so youre gonna have to explain to me your definition of "by far".
and i wasnt calling you a fanboy. what i was saying was that you called him a fanboy because he claimed that one system was by far the better system graphically, and then you claimed the other system was by far the better system(just making a point). as a gamer with both systems also:thumbsup: in my opinion neither system is "by far" better then the other. now slightly better....thats different. then i would agree, ps3 does look a bit better.

Again like I said the Graphics are either equal or worse most of the time, I can't say I've ever been impressed with how the PS3 has been put together consol wise and game wise though. Everything is alittle Brighter in some games but you have the trade off for horrible frame rates. Even in games like Africa which everyone seems to love there graphics in dont have all that impressive graphics.
Don't get me wrong, Halo isn't perfect graphicly either but its atleast a fun game that builds a consol. I can't say that PS3 has anything like that yet and is probably why its doing so horribly at the moment in north america. Its a 600 dollar blu ray player.
