I'm also a little curious about that topic. You and I have run our own leagues for some time Max. I'd just like to know what type of format these leagues will use. Of course we can continue as is, but the feature of online franchise would be too good to pass up!

I started a online league this year for ps2 mainly so I can get people from these boards so I wont have to worry about too much cheese. If you get them signing up at random once the game comes out you may get a bunch of chumps joining your league. But that is just my opinion

I assume everyone who is starting leagues will have them set up on XBOX.......the 2k4 league i'm in is rolling over to xbox leagues....XBOX is gonna be the server for these league's...I think the Leagues will really take off this year.....And i also think that more people will be playing people in their leagues or other leagues for fun rather than playing some random baller online....If your not in a league it may be hard to get games in

Our league is rolling over into 2k5, and I think they want to keep the current site for message boards and scheduling. Interested to see what they will offer myself....

Last year 2k4 had leagues for ps2... for awhile and they were pretty cool. They automatically saved all your stats and sent them to your league page for veiw by all, they tracked everything and even had game recaps but they dropped them a few months later because the servers were so bad. When you went online the "league" option was there and when you clicked on it you would see a list of all the leagues you were in and then you clicked on them to go into the league lobby were only league members could go. It was a COOL feature but failed because of poor servers and people bailing when they were not doing well.
This year the leagues are suposedly "live rosters" which will allow for trading and injurie carry over.... not much more info available on them yet though.

Another Football Friday, another Friday without any new info on online leagues. Do you really think they can pull off having living rosters with trades/signings during seasons? I'm skeptical myself.

After the problems with online play last year im skeptical that we'll even be able to get online and play this year let alone have the leagues work. Man i was so pumped last year about the online leagues that i could barely contain myself but then we got them rolling and they were nothing but a hassle. This board was on fire with refund demands because the servers were so poor that online play wasnt even possible so i would think vc took note and tested them better this year but honestly who knows? VC has a history of releasing games with major flaws.... i just hope this years flaws dont involve gameplay or online play.

Next Friday had better be about online leagues!!! There isn't much time left and i still don't know how to set up for 2K5. Ran our leagues for nearly 3 years now on XBOX, but if they do incorporate franchise mode into the online play....it's going to definitely be a change how the league is run.
I really love what they have done with the new game, but online play is the most important feature for myself....and I seem to be starving for info on that subject.
