I use him. He's a good number 2 TE.

Hes solid. Id use him over Metzelaars because he has good hands and is a better run blocker.

Heck, for me, he had a SLIDING ONE HANDED CATCH WHILE BEING HIT!

He doesn't have the best hands in the game by a long shot.

For me, he either catches everything or drops everything.

if u have a qb with leadership he is virtually unstoppable

Green can make catches but saying he has great hands is pushing it. Also watch how and when you throw to him. IF you watch the replays chances are he doesnt run the right route. So he's probably a poor route runner.

I played against a guy who used Green and he caught everything and even in double coverage. I tried him on my team, but he was not much better than a generic TE when I used him..he was dropping a lot of passes right to him. I have better luck with Metzelaars.

Heres how it goes......

Pete Metzelaars (Good Hands, Bad speed)
Eric Green (Ok Speed, Ok Hands)
Troy Drayton (Good Speed, Bad Hands)

Eric green used to be my pic until I subbed Steve Tasker bronze WR in for him (Which is much better IMO)

Of course a WR is going to catch better. But, this is a cheesy substitution.

Agreed. I'll just sub Jerry Rice at TE if that's the case, give me a break, it's stupid.

Lol here we go. Listen Steve Tasker gets shutdown on WR plays. Plus He has strength + Big hit, he good at blocking and catching on the inside and I already have 2 WRs. I kick/punt on 4 and inches every time, and Don't run just pass or just run every time like most of you all so I don't want to hear your ********.

Lol too bad my GT isnt CmV.... By the way its not like I use Him all the time I barely even throw to him. With everybody going for 4 and 2 and running screens everytime with 85+ Feedback I honestly dont give a **** any more.

Why would anyone say Eric Green has the best hands in the game? He is a good bronze TE, but not the best hands in the game...

Whats wrong with throwing screens? They are easy to stop.

Why would you punt on 4th and inches every time? Am I missing something here?

Its not that cheese but this should not be able to work, and thats a problem about the game I have. I hope they don't even put legends in the next game, especially if they're not gonna play true to life. Tasker was never a good or even decent receiver in the 1st place. Maybe they do need an attribute system back. Plus just about all the TE's are just way too powerful in this game.

I wouldnt like it if I played a guy with a WR at TE. But its Steve Tasker. I would easily shut him down.

TE at wide reciever is OK but not WR at TE.

I dont understand why anyone would use Steve Tasker at any position.

OK how about formations that have TE at a wideout. There in the playbook. Like Strong I TE. The TE is in a WR spot. And there is one where the TE is out wide in a four WR set. Don't be stupid boffa. You made idiotic comments like this before. You should be ashamed of yourself.

BofaDeezNutts
October 15th, 2007, 08:43 AM
Thanks for calling me stupid. Seemed a little uncalled for.

But, anyways you are 100% correct there are FORMATIONS that line your TE at flanker or even out wide. This is how it should be done. Which is why there should be no reason to sub a TE @ WR.

When this sub is made made there is no way for the defense to know the TE will be on the field.

For example:

Played a guy last night who has 2 star WR and 2 star TE. So, he decided to sub his TE's at the WR position on the 1RB 4WR set. Guess what when I see the formation he picks picks I put a couple extra DB's on the field to account for the extra WR's. But, then I end up with a 5'10 CB trying to Cover a 6'5 TE that should not be on the field according to the formation he chose.

Bottom line is that the game does not recognize these type of subs, So it is abusing a weakness in the game. Which, to me is the same thing as abusing the A.I. weakness and unacceptable.

p.s. I have nothing to be ashamed of.
