View Full Version : FYI regarding feedback
Judgment Day
October 13th, 2007, 02:07 AM
Due to the recent prevalence of people who have started giving me negative feedback for doing absolutely nothing more than beating them fair and square, I shall begin applying the following policy for as long as I feel like it, probably forever:
I win, you get neutral feedback at best.
I lose, automatic negative feedback.
Further, before leaving any feedback, I will check whether I have reviewed you before, and if I have given you a negative review, it is also an automatic negative feedback.
Once everyone stops gaming the feedback system to feel better about their football ineptness, I may consider stopping too.

Don't play anyone without green smiley face next to there name. If they have a yellow or red, it means they give negative feedback.

What is your GT?
LOL! Good question.
I used to have the same problem Judgment Day. You may doing something annoying or cheesy and not even realize it. I actually played a couple of well respected players on here and had them give me honest feedback on my playing style. They were able to point out a few things I may want to change in order not to make others mad.
I took those suggestions along with sending a simple, "gg" message at the end of each game (despite how I actually felt about the game) and my feedback has gone from 78% to 85% in just a couple of weeks.

One of the main causes of neg feed back, alteast the reason I feel it is caused, is because of losing. When you lose your obviously upset. So you reflect and make excuses and call your oppenent a cheater, cheeser, bum, scrub, noob, abuser...etc. I only neg feed back a complete awful experience. No need to neg feedback who just beat you fair and square.

Remind me not to play you. It is your fault you play guys with 70% feedback.
If you are playing guys with 85% and over and you are still receiving negative feedback, you are a cheeser.
Again, remind me not to play you.

I think you are right which is why a simple, "gg" message at the end usually helps my opponent (if they are losing) put the game in perspective for what it is and leave appropriate feedback.

Remind me not to play you. Neutral for a win negative for a loss. Try playing 85% or higher and also look for drop/quit ratio they should be low single digits anything higher is cheeze.

Your smiley face is reflective of how "YOU RATE PEOPLE" not how people "RATE YOU". Your percentage next to the smiley face is your feedback. So if you want a gross YELLOW face keep giving people poor feedback for no reason. Having YELLOW is just as bad as having under 85%.

It's so simple. Just like it's been said, don't play people with yellow or red faces. You can even go into the 2K Rating and select "Rating History" to see the feedback that they give others, or rely on the faces for a more generalized reading. VC gave you the tools, so instead of crying about it, maybe you should try using them. It works! In APF, I still hold 100% after 50 votes. In NBA-NHL-and MLB, I hold a 99% after 250 votes. Hmmmm??

Honestly, I don't even give a sh*t about feedback anymore. I'm ranked 25 and have slipped like 10 spots due to inactivity, and my feedback is 84% positive. Yet I honestly don't give a crap anymore. I've played so many games and gotten so much BS feedback that I seriously stopped caring.
I've played so many crappy players, with 20 or less games under their belt give me bad feedback, even when they didn't know what was going on; then I've played other players in the middle category give me negative feedback simply for losing; frankly, the fairest feedback I get is from playing players in the top 100, yet all I hear on these boards is how they cheat or cheese. Right. Sure they do.
People can whine or ***** about the rankings, but the fact is most of the players I've played high ranked play more fair than you whiners, and give decent feedback to boot. So I just don't wanna hear it. There's a reason they're ranked in the top 50 or 100. I haven't had any problems playing them and the feedback is fair. Only time I get crap feedback is from crap player doing cheese and losing after going for it every 4th down on their own 30 etc. Get over it.

In fact, play some of the good players on these boards and see what type of feedback you get, it's all positive and the game is all sim. Only time you get crap is from playing some piece of crap cheese player, and anyone good would agree with that.
