Around what time do you guys think APF 2k9 should be released? I would say some time around late May to mid June. This way, APF is out months before Madden, And you have the entire summer to play it.

Look at it this way. In the time before Madden came out there was constantly 20-25 people on the lobbies, with what? 800-1000 people online (maybe less, I dont remember) You also may get more of the Maddenites to transition to APF.

Although I would buy the game for $70 dollars (that is just me) I would start out selling the game for maybe $35-$45.

I would like to see more information this time around about the game improvements.
The secret stuff needs to come to an end.
Give us a peek at what to expect.
We do not need to see everything or every aspect, but a hint of some new features.
If assigned blocking then surprise us in a video with the player doing it.
That will let us know you can do it in some capacity.

They should utilize the internet better towards their marketing strategy.
EA with the license will always out market, but that doesn't mean 2k should just give up on it almost entirely.

Whatever else you do, 2K Sports, please do NOT make someone like Jeff Thomas the point man for your marketing efforts. The guy was talking out of his *** about 2K8, and I got sick and tired of hearing him wheeze on and on about players having custom-colored jock straps or whatever. Stop putting lipstick on your pig next time and sell us some pork chops, damnit!

Don't get me wrong, I'm not asking for Microsoft's spokesdweeb Jeff Bell here either. Just someone who fits well between those two extremes.

I'd like to see the game released after the end of the football season. From March on until early July, game sales and releases are really slow because most developers wait until the 4th business quarter to release games. Madden gets really dated once the actual NFL season progresses because teams will not play to the level they've been playing in real life. One thing APF has going for it is that it can be shipped at any time of the year because the rosters and teams aren't dated.

The only downside I could see in a February/March release is that people are just plain tired of football and wouldn't be interested in getting even more of a football mix, but who really knows. People love football.
