Hi guys.

Like always the game will be without the real names of the players. So you need to either edit the player names yourself(yeah, right :lol: ) or somehow get a roster file/patch.

I thought about buying one on e-bay, but i also heard that those rosters would be available online and that this would be for free.

So will i be able to download them(just like the new roster on NBA 2K8) online?

online as in Xbox/PS3 live or online as in through your computer. cause you can go through the computer with a memory card some some special hook up. dont ask how. i dont know. just read about it. but on Live i think that this game allows you to share files with other people so it is POSSIBLE that you could do it that way. although not too sure about that one. best bet would be to buy one or do it your self. i usually just do it myself. just do UK. and then every player over 75. with the player database it doesnt take that long. couple hours at most.

This year you will be able to get a roster file from XBOX LIve, as soon a s someone posts it.........

Same with the playstation 3.... All you have to do is for both systems is when you go to the main menu of college hoops 2k8 get online and instead of going to lobbys go to 2K Share people will have them on there. And you can just download them from that... Watch this Video its talks somewhat about and alot of other stuff.

ps3 had it last year someone posted it on operationsports and all you had to do was save it to a flash drive and put it on your ps3 took like 2 minutes

Yea i know but this year you dont even need a flash drive or nothing all you have to do is go to 2K share and get them on the game

Why wouldn't it???

'Cause maybe we as customers are fed up with 2k's lazy attempt with the roster updates....sooo long in delays. Have to wait for months....

and someone out there can do great job with CAPs and accurate rosters...so why not fileshare with them?

and someone out there can do great job with CAPs and accurate rosters...so why not fileshare with them? so u would want a random person adjusting height, and ratings for teams? file sharing is for basic things like names it shouldnt be for NOTHING else. so it has no purpose on any sports games besides college and adding names. be careful want u ask for...

Not a "random" person, but a person that you saw their work posted on a message board or a friend you may know. IF someone wants to fileshare with random ppl...that's their prerogative.

I see no harm with filesharing for NBA 2K...as much as CH2K8

I see no harm with filesharing for NBA 2K...as much as CH2K8the problem is ppl are BIASED. if its offline stuff maybe, ONLINE never!!!

My bad dude...I thought we were both discussing rosters for offline.

Sure...we know for online the rosters have to be done by 2K...so everyone has the same roster...no disagreement there

Last year...I was too lazy to update accurate rosters myself, so i never played a season.

Hopefully this year i can get used to using the transfer kit for NBA accurate rosters

Sure...we know for online the rosters have to be done by 2K...so everyone has the same roster...no disagreement there

After following your ongoing debate about online and offline i've got two questions.

Will i be able to use those downloaded Rosters when i play offline?
Or do they only work for online play?
