Game Summary: In what looked like a grind it out game between two good defenses one defense outshined the other. The Illinois defense managed to 6 turnovers against the Orange who also managed to squander up 5 themselves. Both teams went back and forth but neither could get the upper hand until FS Ryan Baker picked of the Orange QB Dominic Flynn to return it for a touchdown to go into the half ahead 14-10. But in the 2nd half the Orange offense still couldnt get off the ground while the Illini was begginning to come to life as Rashard Mendenhall caught a pass from Juice Williams for 35 yards. In the fourth is when the doors to the game blew off as Mendenhall rushed for 145 yards and 3 TD's in the quarter alone to lead the Illini to a 42-23 victory.

Game Summary: In what started out to be a close game between two undeated teams turned out to be just that a close game. The Illini came into todays game looking a week ahead of to their next opponent Penn State, and Indiana knew that. The first quarter saw a defensive battle from both teams but the Illini struck first on a Mendenhall 10 yd scamper to the endzone. But then Indiana ansered with a fumble recovery for a touchdown that went 57 yds. But instead of tying the game they missed the extra point. Indiana would score again in the second quarter with just 11 seconds before halftime. Indiana looked to walk into halftime with a 13-7 lead but Arrelious Benn answered with a 90 yd kickoff return for a touchdown to put Illini ahead 14-13. After the half Illinois kept the pressure on by running for 2 touchdowns in the fourth to keep Indiana away for good.

Game Summary: The game started with the Badgers surprisingly throwing on every down for their first two possessions. Illini capitalized on the lack of ball movement by the Badgers and scored on consecutive possessions. After their slow start and being down by 14 the Badgers finally got a hold of things and scored off of a PJ Hill touchdown. Then again right before half with :21 seconds on the clock but they missed the field goal. The Illini drove the ball up the field to nail a 45yd field goal to put the Illini up 17-13 to go into the half. After the half the Illini scored again to go up 24-16 going into the fourth. Wisconsin attempted to make the game close after scoring a touchdown but when they failed the 2-point conversion that made them have to go into panic mode. The Badgers next to possessions ended in fumbles where they fumbled their chance to win the game.

Game Summary: After a slow start from both teams the Illini struck first off of a 75yd TD run off of an option play. The TD came after an overturnded fumble. Then on the Illini very next possession they went over the top of the defense on a pass from Juice to wideout Steven Bell. which put the Illini ahead 14-0 going into half time. The Illini defense came out the half on fire forcing 2 fumbles on Juice Williams and 1 on Mendenhall. But Iowa only scored 3 points off of turnovers. Iowa had the chance to get within 3 at the half but Chad Brown got his 8th interception of the season as he picked off Iowa QB Rod Traina in the endzone and took it back to the Illini goal line as Illinois managed to remain undefeated as they beat the Hawkeyes 21-3.

Game Summary: In an intense matchup between two rivals and a game that took much more implication than its last few matchups the Illini and Michigan Wolverines locked horns this season and in what many may consider the best game of the season. The game began with Michigan best wideout Mario Manningham catching a 45yd pass on the sideline in which he got hurt on, it was the very first play of the game and the Wolverines lost him for a week. Michigan continued to play through the loss, as they tried for a FG that went wide left. Illini didnt do much with their possession. Michigan next possession led to a punting situation but they faked it to the halfback and he ran it in for a TD. Michigan next possession they actually punted but Benn fumbled the punt and Michigan recovered in the endzone. Michigan led the game 14-7, Illini tried to tie the game with a Mendenhall run but he fumbled right in the endzone which led to a Touchback. Illini went into halftime down 14-10. In the fourth is where the action picked back up Michigan was marching up field to extend their lead but Jay Lehman hit a huge sack on Michigan QB Chad Henne. Illini awarded their D by hitting a long TD to wideout Steven Bell, Rashard Mendenhall hit the 2pt conv. to make it 21-14. The Wolverines tied the game with a 67 yd TD pass. On the kickoff Benn fumbled the kick but Mendenhall was there to recover and he advanced the ball to the 50yd line. It was Illini ball with 1:28 remaining but they had to punt so Michigan had their chance but ILLINI CB Chad Brown picked off Henne with :28 remaining and Illini nailed a FG to go ahead 24-21 to win the game.

Game Summary: In what many believed would be a blowout turned out to be just that the Illini defense was spectacular forcing fumbles and forcing the QB to throw into coverage. This maybe the best Illini defense ever assembled said one student in the student section. Illini is looking to garner some national attention and spotlight so that they may get a chance to play for the National Championship.

Game Summary: The Minnesota Golden Gophers just came out flat today their Qb Erik Garcia just couldnt hit his man as he trew 5 picks against this stingy Illini defense. The Illini has chalked up another victory as they try to be contenders for a national championship but with only two weeks of games left and two bye weeks the BCS might not be as kind to them.

Game Summary: Ohio State did a good job on defense holding the Illini to fieldgoals on four drives but they still allowed them to score. Ohio State just gave up the big plays at the wrong time, and they couldnt stop the run. Rashard Mendenhall carried the ball 26 times for 137 yds despite having to leave the field on numerous occassions due to various injuries. Illinois had an unsung player of the game in their kicker Curtis Sullivan. Whoever said kickers shouldnt get any love.

Game Summary: The Fighting Illini got off to a slow start in this one as the Wildcats came out on fire. Their QB connected on his first 6 passes to march in for the TD, the next Illini drive led to a interception in which put the wildcats in position to score again they came out with a field goal. With the Wildcats up 10-0 the Illini perfect season was starting to fade until QB Juice Williams came alive and led the Illini to score 20 unanswered points. The wildcats would score on a fieldgoal to end the Illini run and send the Wildcats into halftime down 20-13. After the half the Illini continued their dominant play and went on to win 41-31.

Game Summary: Illinois came out running the ball right at the Sooners but the sooners managed to stop em in the red zone while the Illini settled for a FG. The Sooners responded by scoring a rushing TD of their own to go ahead 7-3. Illinois continued to run but still couldnt manage to finish the drive and kicked another FG to make the score 7-6. The Sooners then fumbled the kickoff in which Illinois recovered and kicked yet another FG. Oklahoma responded by hitting a FG of their own to go into the half ahead 10-9. As the Sooners were marching up the field in the fourth quarter their offense hit a road block as they made it to the Illini 15 and they decided to go for it but Illini LB Jay Lehman made a key play as he recorded a huge sack to give Illini the ball. Illini then went 3 and out as well did OU on their possession as they were forced to punt. Rashard Mendenhall returned the punt to the Sooner 26 yd line in which Mendenhall ended up scoring on a rushing TD to put the Illini ahead 15-10. Illini failed the 2point conversion. On the Sooner next possession they needed a score but ended up throwing a pick to Illini CB Anthony Miller who took it back for the score to put the Illini ahead 22-10. The Sooners had one last chance to make it a game but threw another interception to Chad Brown, whom tallied his 13th pick of the season as the Illinois Fighting Illini went on to win its 3rd National Championship.

Game Summary: Illinois introduced their prized recruits to the nation today when they put Mario Jones and Reshawn Jackson on the field the two true freshman wideouts combined for 10 grabs and 155 yds and 2 Td's. The Tiger DB's didnt know who to watch when both was on the field at the same time and if they focused to much on the both of them Juice Williams would just find Arrelious Benn or Mendenhall sitting wide open the Illini passing game is going to be a beautiful thing to watch this season.

Then the Illini went to work Reshawn Jackson worked the defense to drive the team down field for a TD then helped get us back down field for a Richards TD.
