I was thinking about the closed legacy where you start from scratch, wouldn't it be great if they put a question when making your coach for dream job or where you would love to coach at because I often play and want to end my career at Michigan State but Izzo never leaves or the job doesn't open up. If you play the game right and become one of the best coaches your fav job should open up... (what do you think) I know you can just do open legacy but it's not the same starting there.

Interesting idea, but what would come of this "Dream Job" question? What would the implications for the answer be for your career?

well the hopes would be that the dream job would at some time become available at some time later in your career if your coach is deserving because all schools do not have open job opportunities when you become a great coach so this could be a way for the game to know where you may want to coach at. Just like in real life when you have players turned coaches that would love to return to their alma mater. Its just a lot of time certain jobs never seem to open up in legacy. So for me I would want my coach to later coach at Michigan State

I suppose I could see that working, but I don't know if there's a high enough demand for it to be put into the game.

Yes, when College Hoops 2K8 comes out, I am hoping to start tournaments within every state, I will not be playing in every one, because I can not be in 50 states at once, so I will hand pick administrators, one from each state, if available. I am hoping to have about 16 people per tournament. I am also hoping to start these tournaments on the release date (Nov. 19), or about 14 days after, and will hope to have the tournaments run right through the middle of February. I will be running the California Tournament, and if anyone else wants to become a tourney administrator, Private message me or simply reply to this thread, with the State that you are representing, your feedback percentage, and whether or not you participated in the 2007 Pontiac Tournament, plus your gamer tag. My gamer tag is IB33UKNOW. Also, the winners from each sate tournament will have their results viewed, the scores looked over, and whether or not they will advance to the National Championship Tournament, which will kick off Saturday, February 16th at 12:30 ET. This tournament if you noticed, will help you get the best competition before the Pontiac Online Tournament begins, so this is just enough time time to try and raise your experience If you make it to the National Championship Tournament, you will be given a password before it is created, u will be notified of all scores, updates, standings, etc. I will evaluate the margin of victory, and other key aspects. So, good luck to all, and private message me with your state, If you participated in the Pontiac Virtual Final 4 Tournament, plus your gamer tag, and your feedback percentage, and I will decide whether or not you are eligible to be an administrator or not, so good luck all, and I hope to seeing you come the State Tournaments.
Note: If one state has more than 32 people and appears to be full, you will play in ranked games, and then report the score to me, to see who will advance to the State Tournaments.

I see what he getting at. I could see the coach having a list of dream jobs and once he gets up to par he might get the offer. This could be used just to let schools know that you would be interested in the head coaching job.

yeah just to have the opportunity to go to certain schools you want to because you can't make offers to schools. That didn't have a coach leave or get fired. I mean if Coach K or Roy at unc's contract was up wanted a job at wherever before they i'm sure they could get it.

yeah! I had this idea too! I am not sure why they had never suggested this. The Dream Job would be just another "accomplishment." They could even throw in "Kentucky maybe looking for a new coach soon and the best candidate just might be Dougie_Style"... "Yeah, he is moving on up in the coaches rankings and he has very strong ties with Kentucky"
My thought was taking the game as a semi role playing game, where you make friends, enemies, and relationships with higher people...also you could actually talk to recruits and thier families. Similiar with what Head Coach did...but you could actually play the games!!!
I don't know how to link what I had mentioned but I think I had a few good ideas(on another thread post)...but the Dream Job should definitely be in the game.

I have the exact same problem. I love MSU, but Izzo would just hang around forever! Its great for MSU fans in RL, but in the game its soo disappointing not to get the spot.
