I created a team to use and want to know if anyone has any suggestions or just what you think. The team is all players who played for the Raiders. Suprisingly I was able to fill all 11 legends with former Raiders and there are even 3 or 4 more I can go back and use to adjust. I favor the 70's early 80's Raiders so here is my team.
G-Bilitnekof
G-Jim Otto
S-Lester Hayes
S-Jack Tatum
S-Kenny Stabler
B-Cliff Branch
B-Greg Bell
B-Ray Guy
B-Willie Gault
B-Terry McDaniel
B- Steve Wisniewski

So here is my question. With no other options besides corners to put on this team should I compromise and get a non Raider LB or DL or get Albert Lewis and have all legend DB's and generic front 7 and try to come up with a unique D?

I figure I can score cuz I am gonna use the old Raider downfiled passing attack. I probably will even hit people late and stuff just to keep true to the old Raider spirit.

it can work man, it just depends on how you play

Depends on who you go up against. If you play a team with only a couple of starts on offense, then you'll have a pretty good chance of stopping them, if you play a team that has more stars on offense, then you'll have trouble. It's a trade off. The question is, based on your play style, how many weapons do you need in order to score consistently?

I usually run the ball a lot but it dosen't work when playing 5 min lobby games. I never really built a team that was a passing threat. My most explosive offense is Barry Sanders, Herman Moore and Cliff Branch with Stabler as the QB. I was thinking about puttin Christiensen in there but if I make an old school Raider team Stabler has to be on it and I can't give up the other 2 silvers on D.

I am a below average player but I think I can become competitve if I get a better offense. I am trying to come up with a unique way of using different players such as Otto, and I don't see Bilitnikof too much on PS3. I was toying with the idea of dropping Ray Guy for The Rocket, but since I have never seen anyone use him I figured I will.

You know how to get good really quick? You need the ability to not get your asz handed to you, quit in mid-blow-out, and not leave negative feedback for getting destroyed straight-up in the process.
Four out of five gamers agree (TheRainboWarrior doesn't agree) that it's an awesome ability, so check it out, lol.

Maybe if I create John Matuzak he will have that ability. lol

Put your D-line and Linebackers to run coverage, and that team may actually be somewhat successful.

I played a guy yesterday that had a Run only team. 2 Gold HBs, Silver TE, Silver FB, and no WR's what so ever. He tried to run it on me all game. Sounds good right? Except that I was able to stack the box on him (4-4) and he only ended up with about 105 yards offense, and about 80 of that was rushing, while I racked up over 350 yards on him total offense. If you are going to go 'heavy' on something, then run is not the best choice. Go heavy pass, and have an option at run, and you'll get more yards than if you go heavy run with the option to pass.

Well, I played a couple games with this team and I am very happy. I was able to throw deep mostly with Branch, but suprisingly Greg Bell was on fire. He seemed to be faster than any silver back Ive used except Sims. I had 170 yards rushing on 12 carries one game and was leading 27-0 or 20-0 at halftime in one game. It was my most successful game Ive played and I have over 125 games under my belt. Maybe I can hold off on loss #100 for a little longer. This game is really set up for passing first unless you have a gold back.
