first off this is pure fiction...
The Miami Dolphins, after a season of disappointment, have at least one silver lining. The number one pick in the NFL draft. Pretty much every one knows who they will pick, and for good reason. Johnny Styles, the Heisman Trophy winner from Miami. NFL scouts watched this guy from freshman to senior, and cannot find one weakness to his game. His balanced running style of speed and power and hands makes him a threat, and his personality allows him to be coached and molded into an even better player, which the thought of him being better is pretty much scary.
Miami Dolphins, first pick in the draft, RB Johnny Styles.
08 to 09 season starts. After a hard fight, Johnny loses the start to Ronnie Brown. He keeps his cool until his number is called. His calling comes on a very nasty hit Ronnie gets from Urlacher, torn acl. Another year he's out for the season. Maybe this is the reason the Dolphins got another back. Who knows....who knows.
Johnny Styles comes out in....pretty much like his name, Style. They lose to the Bears, but he has 105 rushing and a catch for a td. Hold on fellas, he's just getting warmed up. Johnny Styles begins to show he is the real deal. 7 games into the season he already has 2000 yards rushing and 50 yards away from getting 1000 receiving yards. Defensive coaches lose sleep trying to figure out schemes to contain him. Forget rookie of the year, he may very well get MVP...
..but he doesn't. MVP goes to Manning. How does Johnny Styles take it?
"Peyton's been a great player for years. I feel as a player myself I haven't peaked yet. So it was no contest for him to get MVP." Class, pure class.
The Dolphins don't make the playoffs, but they have a player to build around, Johnny Styles. He finishes with 2107 rushing, 1017 receiving, and 13 touchdowns. Some vets can only dream to have a year like that.
But alas, the bad comes with the good. While driving home from Trick Daddy's listening party, he gets in a car accident. The car is totaled. He survives, but has to have his right leg amputated. His career is over.
Over at 2k headquarters, talks of another All pro is surfaced. They get the legends they couldn't get last time, and one guy says "how about Johhny Styles?Sure he only played one season, but he was on a route to becoming a legend. Also, he's a current NFL retiree."
They agree. Johnny Styles agrees to be in the game. So, after getting his contract signed, they're ready to put his likeness in the game. But one question remains..
Is he gold, silver, or bronze?
You decide.
