After much consideration, we have decided to extend qualifying until November 14th. All playoff games will also be pushed back two weeks and check-in will now happen on November 14th.
Please refer to the official rules:
“Changes may be made on the day of a match to rules or tournament format if necessary to accommodate special circumstances. Rules are subject to change, and the word of a tournament admin is final.”
To view the new schedule, please use this link:

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused by this revision.

May I ask as to why it got pushed back? Or, shall details not be revealed? It seems as if I may not be able to play in the playoffs now, as I'm going away on the 16th for two weeks.
Thanks 2K.

We were forced to extend the qualifying to allow more people to register. Currently, we do not have enough people to have a properly functioning tournament and there would be too many byes, etc. If you are unable to make the game times, I can work with you to try and get a change but I cannot promise anything.

the reason why you guys have this problem is because your game is not balance. even in sim setting alot of the top guys are only there cause they do one move very well. I really wish you guys would have a private beta or invite only beta before your games comes out.
also don't forget the bugs that haven't been fix in 3+ years. i don't know what else to say.

I second that, and would like to add somethings.
The 3+ years of bugs. These bugs in this game and the same same goals. The goalies that are clearly over top of the puck and don't pick it up, skating over the puck when its right there.
The wrong cutscenese showing, showing players not even on the ice skating around not during their shift.
I mean dammit do we have list all of them, cuz i suspect that 2K knew all of them existed a long time ago.
I really don't feel like writing a novel about this, i can keep going about the countless bugs in this game, its like a slap in the face to hockey fans.
I'm gonna laugh with this game at the all-star game.

We had to reset the leaderboards to extend the qualification period. However, the two leaderboards will eventually be consolidated and the playoff rankings released.
If you completed your 10 games prior to October 31st, you will have a playoff spot.

TA, whats goin on with the restricted areas, the areas not allowed to participate, like a few states and quebec. Cuz like, if they're not gonna be in the playoffs at all, why have them in the leaderboard standings, it gives an inaccurate view of whose being in the tournament, and who can actually win prizes.
Or are the rules no longer valid? There's 5 people in both the US and Canadian tournaments seperately that are from these areas not allowed to participate.
I'm just puzzled, is this yet another 2k glitch in this game, or what the hell is goin on? I hate lookin at this leaderboard when its like hey these guys aren't even supposed to be in it.

Did last month count for nothing, not that Arnold15 is a bad player or anything but I was 1st last month, with the exception of Gamespot Martin and King Felix25 (Who both were disqualified). I doesnt change much but Qaulifying 1st one month and 2nd the following month would make one assume they should have top seed for the playoffs. Hoping I still get Home team advantage for the final against Arnold15? It just doesnt seem that last month (the original qualification period) counted for anything. Arnold15 wasnt even in the tournament at the time he just signed in this month and with my !st and 2nd place finishes, you gave him the top spot? Please take a look at this TA.
Thanks.
