Season in Preview: The Chicago Bears are coming off of an dissappointing Superbowl performance, one that many blame on Bear quaterback Rex Grossman. The Bears come into this 07-08 season hoping that new Quaterbacks coach Pep Hamilton can imprve the mistakes that Grossman so often made last season. Also the Bears are welcoming back all-pro defensive tackle Tommie Harris who is coming off of an hamstring tear that he had to get surgically repaired all eyes will be on him and how he performs on that surgically repaired hamstring. Bears bring in a new Defensive Coordinator in Bob Babich, Babich was on the Bears staff last season and knows his talent quite well but many Chicagoans believe that Ron Rivera is the genius behind the successful Bears defense that had 44 takeaways last season. But all eyes will be on the Bears run game, the Bears felt that veteran Thomas Jones was expendable so they traded him to the Jets and will allow Cedric Benson to be the work horse. We will see with all the question marks the Bears have what will this team do.

Game Preview: The Chicago Bears open the season at San Diego. The Bears come into this season hoping that they can take that next step from last year when they made it to the superbowl but this year the goal is to win the SuperBowl anything less than that would be a complete failure. While on the other side of the ball you have Ladanian Tomlinson and the the San Diego Chargers. The Chargers are coming into this season with one mission seek and conquer after being beat by the Patriots at home in the playoffs last season the Chargers want to destroy everyone in their path. In todays game the Bears have the luxury of trying to slow down LaDanian Tomlinson while the Chargers only task is to execute their offense and they win.

Defense Still Not Ready For Season To Start

Game Summary: Chicago Bears came into todays game focused on what the Chargers were going to do with the run. But instead the Chargers decided to pass, Philip Rivers connected on 76% of his passes in the Bears game, in which he hit 6 different recievers. But while the Bears D wasnt doing much neither was their stalemate Offense. Grossman whom many have been asking to be benched completed only 44% percent of the passes he threw and was consistently pressured throughout the day. When asked about his performance Grossman stated that "I have to get better my teammates are depending on me to be consistent and it just didnt come together this week." One could say the Bears passing game didnt do much because the ground game never got going the Bears only ran the ball 10 times in the game cant expect to win much without the run.

Game Preview: The Bears are coming off of a game where their Defense just couldnt hold anyone, and they enter todays game hoping to make a change as they face one of the most dangerous backs in Larry Johnson. The Bears also had a problem in their secondary as they seemed unable to cover anyone so hopefully Tillman and Vasher can recover after last weeks disappointing outing and play a good game this week. The Chiefs are coming off a win against the Texans in which Larry Johnson had 186 yards from the line of scrimmage the Bears must find a way to contain him in order to pull out the victory.

Offense A No Show; But Defense Shows up Huge

Game Summary: The game began with a KC goin 3 and out, the Bear O came out and went deep on the very first play from scrimmage but the ball was dropped in the endzone by Bernard Berrian. The Bears ended up punting. The Chiefs played most of the first half in good field position but a Damon Huard mistake to Bear DB Charles Tillman is what began the downhill process for the Chiefs. Tillmans interception had gone for a TD but was called back due to clipping on Adewale Oguleye. The Bears drove down field where Grossman hit Muhammad for the 4yd TD pass to put Chicago up 7-0. The Chiefs hit a FG on their next possession and Bears O never showed up again... But Daniel Manning did he picked off a Huard pass and took it back for the TD to go up 14-3 before the half. In the 3rd quarter Manning did it again picking off another Huard pass for a TD. The Chiefs would score a rushing TD in the 4th but couldnt convert the 2pt conversion as they went on to lose 21-9.

Game Preview: After coming off that horrible loss in the playoffs to the Seahawks, the Dallas Cowboys are still in a hangover as they have dropped their first two games of the season Romo has been spectacular with a QB rating of 138.8 and passing for 477 yards with 5 TD and no picks. 3 of Romo's TD has gone to T.O. The problem for Dallas has been closing out as their two losses has come to a combined score of 10 points. If the Cowboys wanna win they must attack the Bears secondary who is giving up 231 yards through the air. Stay tuned to the NFL on ABC as the Bears and Brian Urlacher lock horns with T.O and the Cowboys.

Benson and Running Game Finally Busts Loose

Game Summary: The Chicago Bears have known the past couple of games havent been going to well running wise so they made a gameplan to get the running game going this season and the plan worked well as the Bears pounded Benson 29 times against the Cowboy defense as he tacked on 2 scores to lead the Bears to victory 26-7. Benson efforts were boosted by the excellent field position that Devin Hester consistently put the Offense in off his Punt returns.

Game Preview: Kitna guaranteed 10 wins, the Bears went to the superbowl last season both teams have high expectations and they stand in one anothers way. Chicago has something to look forward to in this game with the improvement Benson made last game but their secondary must go up against Kitna and the impressive wideouts. As for the Lions that Offense must be potent to overcome that swarming Bears defense.

Game Summary: The Bears started the game bad this team has been bad against the run this season and to make matters worst they have been bad against the pass this Defense looks nothing like that superbowl defense and with Grossman turning the ball over this team may want to look to improve very soon. Devin Hester exploded on the Offensive side of the ball for 262 yds recieving on 5 catches and 1TD but it just wasnt enough as Detroit played good defense against the run and managed to get the right plays at the right times, to make Chicago fall to 2-2

Game Preview: AJ Hawk was a man possessed out on the field forcing a fumble, sacking Grossman twice, and getting a pick, to go along with his 4 tackles. While Grossman just couldnt take the pressure throwing 4 interceptions 3 of which in the endzone as the Bears fall to 2-3 and last in the division.
