I think first person view would be a great addition, but to avoid confusion i think it would be best if you restrict that camera angle to locked players.

this would be good, but lockin a player or wateva is a bad idea, i wish u could just pass it and still be in the 1st person view

wouldn't that be confusing, you're gary payton and then pass it to malone and then shaq, that might be dizzying.

well, there are ways to make it better, but if u were just one player, then when u pass, u wouldn't know who has the ball once they start passin it around, and that'll get confusing

You will probably have the option of locking it or not. It would be like given' go. Off the ball etc. Then when you do recieve the ball if you choose to lock it, there could be a vibration or something on the screen to let you know.

Maybe put in a one beat vibration whenever you dribble otherwise it might look light you're just running, or maybe see your hand come up and down at the bottom of the screen.

Maybe at the bottom right corner there will be a little screen that shows your player in third person, except the height of the screen will allow you to only see your back from head to butt and the width of the screen will be your wingspan. Those with good court vision like Kidd will have a wider screen. This little screen thingy will help compensate for the lack of "field of vision" since you can't see much on TV. And you'll at least be able to know what your crossover moves or dunks look like, or at least know what you're doing. The screen must constantly show your back even if you're spinning. The screen itself will spin. You will be blind to anyone thats behind your model (or not, since it might not work out because people will fade in and out behind you and you can't see yourself post up). You can hear louder footsteps if some one is behind you and/or have a threat indicator like ESPN NFL.

First person would be cool. You'll be able to hear what the players say, if they talk trash to you or watch them stare at you after a dunk

what u guys think?

when its user against computer or online play its easy, but what about when user goes against user would it be a split screen. if it give us the option to choose from horizontal and vertical. if one user wants his player locked and the other wants all players to have first person view than allow that. if one user wants first person view and the other wants another camera angle use the split screen.

i can see it getting confusing real quickly with 2 players on one screen, what they oughta do is do like halo does and have either the x boxes or ps2 be able to link with each other through ethernet cables and be connected to 2 different t.v's, maybe even make this a pc exclusive feature to draw people to its pc version if it ever decides to explore it.

all these posts centre around what might be confusing... i think you're all right. it would be confusing. i do't think this works for basketball... the controls to make it playable would be unwieldy.
