Now if Peyton Manning does that every game and we start to see Brett Favre "moon walking" during the game, Madden would more authentic than i imagined.........................;)...lol

madden is really fun actually. you just have to set the sliders play on all pro and only play offline. online is garbage, that is where apf is better. offline is where madden is better.

i have madden and the game is unplayable i played on all pro and is to easy and all madden is a int and a fumble fest the game needs a patch asap!!! another thing apf is way better online and offline on my opinion you cant put madden in the same sentence with apf.

So sad....but so true. Seriously though, Madden is only an INT fest if you try to force throws. Sure, you'll see some superhuman DB plays once in a few games, but it's not much different than some of the superhuman WR plays in APF.

Same way I feel. I don't have madden 08 but I have 07 and I enjoy playing it.

HA HA.. Manning going madden 08 with all the int's
but what was up with that false start call in the 4th quarter? that was some bs.

Another anti-madden thread..?
And, Ro_Diggity , what's wrong with that call anyway?

The problem to the call was that there was no jump. The TE clearly was standing up to begin a formation shift. Of course, the play was designed specifically to draw the other team offsides, so the Colts knew they might run into an official calling false start. Even still, bad call but it could have gone either way.

" The book clearly states that any movement of the head or shoulders in an abrupt manner is a false start " - Mike Pereira (Maybe not exactly word for word, if not, it's close)
What do you think about this?

I might stand corrected. :p Hey, I'm one to admit that I am wrong.
But I have seen many cases where there is a non-call. It's much like pass interference & holding, you can essentially call it on any play. Think about how often a center turns to talk to the QB while he's audibling or o-lineman move when relaying messages on the line to other players.. why not call a penalty then?

Not suprised if plays like these has happened before without it being called.
And what is the rule when calling a audible? How come the linemen sometimes (always?) can move without getting a penalty called? Do they let the defense know before or something?
Been wondering about this before.

But it was not called a false start....it was actually called "simulating a snap." Tight Ends make that same shift all the time....except they usually go in motion afterwards, so I still think it was a BS call.

Actually, think the ref said:
" - A false start. Number 86 of the offense, simulating the snap. "
(again, maybe not word for word).
