I have played 2 different guys this week and both would audible as soon as we come out of our huddles. 1 guy would audible everytime on offense, This would cause my CB's and LB's to hit with a stupid stick and not line up correctly and also take forever getting to the other side of the field. I had a created Deion Sanders with 5 attributes....Coverage bonus, speed burner, closing speed, return specialist, and quick feet. This guy had a Created Michael Irvin with ....Route God, Acrobatic catch, soft hands, speed burner, and cutback ability. I had Ronnie Lott and Leroy Butler at Safety over the top helping. Irvin had over 200 yards receiving in the 1st half! Deion, Lott, and Leroy Butler would not be anywhere near Irvin and I play cover 2 man defense 90% of the time. His audible's everytime would cause my guys not to lineup correctly or play the defense they are supposed to play!! WTF!!
Next guy is on my friends list or maybe he took me off it after I asked him about his audible's on defense every play as soon as he came out of the huddle. He replied that he cant pick a play fast enough so he picks whatever the coaches pick is and audibles into the defense he wants everytime coming out of the huddle. I told him that this must be an exploit because there is no other explanation for what he does everytime. Why would he do this everytime unless there is an exploit?? I could be wrong but his very average defense with mostly Generics did great against me and I score usually at will on most that I play. My GT is NFLHITMAN and you can look up my offensive stats if you don't believe me that I can score pretty easy. The guy I played was Leroy Jenkins and like I said he was on my friends list but I still have to question why he audibles every play.
This audible stuff I just started to see this last week so does anybody know of or heard of an audible glitch??

I know what you're talking about and it is kind of annoying.
I don't know if it's an exploit but it does 3 things that help him I can imagine....
1) Prevents people from quick snapping, as you can't hike while he audlibles/flips a play and the defense is setting up.
2) Gives him a chance to see what the offense formation is.
3) The most important IMO, is it prevents the other team from hiking the ball, but since it takes his defenders 10-15 seconds to set up it runs out your play clock, preventing players from hot routing or audibling.
I think it is pretty cheap/annoying, but Leeroy is a good player without so I continue to play him.

This isn't an audible exploit, but I think it's the same thing I ran into the other day. I played a guy yesterday with 87% approval rating, and about 150 games. He came out on defense and then began moving EVERY player around. All the D-Line man, the CBs, the LBs, everyone one of them. I let him do it a couple of times, but finally became impatient while waiting for his defense to get set as it takes awhile to move 11 guys. I'm not going to say it helped him out, he might have gotten a lucky tackle here and there, but IMHO it hurt him just as much as it helped him.

Leeroy Jenkins audibles after the huddle breaks, not allowing you to hike the ball and runs 10 seconds from your play clock.

I know they need to fix it so the defense gets more time to see the offensive setup. Quick hiking is annoying and gives the offense a huge advantage. In a real football game you have 11 guys reading the field and making adjustments as necessary. In an online game you have only 1 guy reading the field and making adjustments (the player), and he isn't even being given a chance do do that! Add to that the fact that the stupid stats overlay the offensive line at times and the defense may not get to see anything other than their own players before the ball is hiked.

On Offense it is hundred percent an exploit but ONLY if you dont switch play either. I had that happen to me and its utter BS. The DB's dont move and stay where they arent suppose to be which is following the guy they have been assigned to.
The way to defeat that is to flip ure play as well as soon as he flips his.The formation will reset to its proper alignment.
On defense it is NOTTT and expliot. DB's adjust well to who they are meant to be assigned to and there is nothing wrong with it at all. There are no advantages to be gained to audiable in to some other formation from the one u originally picked on defense.

Yep, I'm a give you guys this one. That cat Leroy jenkings is one of the few jokers online I hate playing. HIs stlye, audibles, creaed players, every single down using signal stealer, his cat is a fruitcake.
Only a handful of dues like him, I've played him like 3-4 times he won the last two I won the first, the thing with him is he does'nt know how to lose so he will quit on you and give you bad feedback, beware
, peace

I was having trouble finding my play so as the clock clicked down to one I would just pick a play and audible to the defense I wanted. Yes it does somewhat stop people from qucick snapping but not really. I would not call my Defense average. I have a gold corner a silver corner a silver safety a bronze safety a bronze LB and a Bronze DT.
What was happeneing though was my pass coverage had NFLHITMAN dumbfounded and he couldnt see anyone to throw to ever. Thats all...
Jfrank you are the fruitcake. You lucked out and beat me one time came here and flamed the **** out of me calling me out in the forums. I beat you every time after. I have become 100 times better on D int he last couple weeks I wouldnt ever play me again if I was you. You would be lucky to score a FG.

The quick hike issue will go away once they provide FORMATION SPECIFIC AUDIBLES like they do offense.
It really is that simple. Right now we have 5 audibles to choose from and it really doesn't provide enough coverage like FORMATION SPECIFIC AUDIBLES.
I've said this before, I don't care if you quick hike. I just need to adjust.
Because I can change my audibles I do this as the game progresses without pausing the game.
I'm not going to sit there and allow my opponent to go through MASSIVE adjustments on each play. This makes no sense what so ever.
If your game is based on this then what is the point of even calling any play?
I mean you are going to change everything about it anyway.
Use what little audible system we have now to do the work for you.
Hopefully they will have the same audible system on defense that they have on offense.
FORMATION SPECIFIC!!!
By using matchups this will cause the same problems as well.
Again...
They need to put in a system where you can swap coverage or maintain coverage ON THE FLY.
ex... if I'm in a 3-4 Cover 2 and you do an audible or shift which moves a WR to the opposite side of the field then I should have the option to either maintain/swap coverage assignments.
I hate to say, but the competition had this feature in their 07 version.
See... this is the stuff we need to ask for in 2k9 rather than all this graphic details and HD stuff. GAMEPLAY and OPTIONS!!!

Agreed GoodSense, however I have a feeling if there's not a graphical improvement next year, the game will get panned in the reviews. The reviews were luke warm this year, and I have a feeling they were nice because of the fond feelings for NFL 2K5.

I audible and formation shift like there's no tomorrow so the defense has plenty of time to adjust, so I'm happy to have never run into this problem.
I will admit though, that if I see the offense come out in something really weird (HB's at Slot, WR's at RB, etc) I will audible right away on defense because I know it will slow down the game and it will give me a chance to read the offense and what they might be trying to do. Is this cheese? Possibly but you could also make the arguement that my opponents questionable substitutions are cheese as well. Luckily, I haven't had to do this much because I generally play gamers with higher feedback ratings which generally means they're less likely to so something cheese'esque like that.
