Has anyone ever created a team with 2 Gold Wide Receivers? I was working on a new team for fun, you know, I had 3 hours to kill in created a new Play Book (arghhh!!!!). Anyway, I was trying to think of a new strategy, player structure, and the like, when I thought of 2 Gold receivers. I have seen a team with a Gold WR and a Gold HB, or a Gold TE and a Gold HB, but never a team with 2 Gold WRs.
Has anyone ever created a team with 2 Gold WRs? Or played against a team with 2 Gold WRs? If so, what were the games like?

I played around w/ a team offline that had Fred Biletnikoff and Raymond Berry as my 2 golds. Also had Cunningham at QB. Was not my best team b/c I'm not the best passer, but it was probably the funnest team I've every had. No matter what these guys would catch anything; zone, man, double team, anything. Very fun, but I assume to get the most out of it, you have to know how you want to use them ie; WCO, air it out. I just picked a pass play and threw it to one of them. No strategy, but it was fun!

Felt like cheese, because both had route god (Rice and Berry), and had a silver receiver too, so one of them was always open.
Njake.

For a brief time I used Berry and Rice. I scored crazy points, but it was back when I wasn't too good so I couldn't stop anything on D.

Just get a silver QB and Rice and Berry. then spend all the rest of the Picks on D.

Played a guy online that had Jerry Rice as his main reciever(Lem Barney on him), and Raymond Barry(Terry McDaniels on him). All he did was send them on go routes and throw a bomb to them(Randell Cunningham as QB) He beat me because either Jerry Rice or Raymond Berry would be open. I was so ****ed because i threw over about 15 different plays(thats all the plays on defense i had) at him and nothing stopped him. I think I gave him neg. because it was absulutly bs.

Yep, although I have a gold (rice) and silver (Maynard) with Cunningham. I agree though.

You were lame to give him Negative. You could have spent your Golds on Lott, or on Gold Corners, but you didn't. Just because he spent his on gold WR's you gave him negative. And I think that's way lame. Meanwhile you probably ran a Gold RB on him or whatever. Either way, it's lame. Just because you didn't match up well you gave him a negative, and that sucks. Period.

It was lame that he dropped way back, charged up randell cunningham, and threw it 50+ yards a pass? And for your information I had Ronnie Lott, and Joey Browner as my safeties. Jerry Rice and Raymond Berry where always atleast 5-10 yards behind them. He ended up beating me 35 to 21.

Yeah it was lame...that you gave him a negative. If I saw those two WR's, I'd have doubled them and played some zones to negate that. It's your fault you lost. I may have even switched to playing straight up m2m with safeties on them, and see how he could run. You can switch your corners inside and outside, which I do alot, and tried that. There's a ton you could have tried. Giving him a negative for where he placed his 2 gold's is lame. You put your 2 golds somewhere, how'd you like it if he gave you a negative for where you put them? Fact is, you couldn't hang, and you weenied out and gave him a negative for it.

I don't care that they where gold receivers, I'm saying how he used them was unrealistic. Plus I tried any playing man, zone, Man/Zone, Prevent. He would just drop back and chuck it. Explain to me how it's realistic (outside of madden) to drop back 10+ yards, than throw it to a wide open reciever 50 or more yards down field.

IMO....only people who are horrible and use glitches should get negative feedback.
If he was doing something you did not like....you should have taken the loss like a man and given him a neutral.

I guess in retro-spective I should have given him neutral, but it was just that hopeless feeling that no matter what play I ran he found a way to get his WR wide open. I normally only give negitve to people who quit or drop, and most nuetral or positive.

When I play people that are questionable, like the guy you mentioned, dropping way back and bambing all game, although it can be stopped it is frustrating to deal with. At the end of the game I do not give them feedback at all, I hit the big X button and return to dashboard.
If I play a guy that runs Campbell all game, yeah it's not cheese but it is annoying, I do the same, no feedback.

i played tuboware a few weeks back and he had rice and lofton, it was a close game, but at the end of the day he won by i think less than a touchdown, i had mel renfro and albert lewis as my CBs, and i play a lot of man, the few times i played zone were the times i got scorched for huge TD plays from lofton
hopefully i'll get better results the next time though

That's unfair to give him negative feedback for that.
That is pretty much the team I roll with. I use Rice, Berry, Maynard, and Metz, with Cunningham as QB. Why should I get negative feedback because my team focuses on mostly passing? I don't bomb it every play, I don't use out routes every play. I just throw to the open man. And with Four receivers I will always have an open man.
Why should I get negative feedback from that?

i dont see a problem with that team, it would be tough to win i suppose, but i would still give positive feedback win or lose
