My First Game! Some Questions

Hi, I played my first game on line tonight. I played against someone called YourGettinIt. I scored on my first possession. And shut him down on his first possession. A 4th down stop.

Then he paused the game and it went on for like 5 minutes, and the screen said "timed out".

Is this what is referred to as a drop? And do I get a win or loss or drop for it? I was leading 7-0 and he quit as the 1st quarter was ending.

And how do I check my wins and losses?

If he paused the game and the timer ran out then you should have seen a dialogue box giving you the choice to either continue, quit or ignore. I'm guessing you chose the 'quit' option not knowing if he would resume the game and if so, then you should have automatically gotten the win. This is NOT a drop however. Drops occur only when the connection is lost or interrupted between the two parties and more times than not it's randomly given to either side with the other side receiving a win. Most of the time it's given to the side whose connection would be of a lesser quality or has more activity occuring (i.e., dial-up or routers) than the other's.

You can check your record each time you're in the challenge lobby where you see yourself and others listed waiting to play games. For PS2, your record is visible along with everyone else's record for wins, losses, quits and drops all in one box and to see your online stats, highlight your name and push the select button. Push the triangle button to return to the previous screen. For XBox, you must highlight each name individually to see either yourself or someone else's record. It will appear near the top of the screen under the lobby title and to see your online stats, highlight your name and push down on the right thumbstick. Push the 'B' or red button to return to the previous screen.
