Is it as bad as it was on NBA? I need to know. I keep thinking about playing online, but I really get down on a game once I see people abuse it the way people do.

Its not as bad but it is still a BS tactic. You can pass out of it sometime, I haven't ran into anybody that uses alot except for the number #1 guy ron the uk don. And I blasted his cheesy ***. Its that weak *** spin move that annoys the hell out of me and it needs to be removed completely.

i think its worse than nba cuz its so easy to do and it works 95% of the time, and 2k view is the cheese view ppl use that view so they can fullcourt trap u so they will kno who u about to pass 2 and jump the lane for an easy steal...also to throw it fullcourt for an easy fastbreak

I use 2k view because I am just used to that view. No need to generalize. Not everyone is a cheeser because they use the 2k view.

lol, a lot of cheesers do use 2k camera... that's true, but it's not cheesy to use it. It's just the camera that you need in order to really cheese well.

I'd say 80% of the people I've played who put it on 2k were cheesers.

We should stop with all the speculation of whos "Sim"...who's "Cheese"... Even "True Sim Ballers" will do something not characteristic to a real basketball game to get a W. ive look at the stats and vip of the xSOGx ppl in the top 100 and all i see is the same stats for a typical cheeser...X's and O's all in the paint and @ the 3pt line, im not calln any1 out im jus sayin some of them are not xSOGx...i saw a good vip and stat from garyland tho

Can you tell if they used post moves or if they or worked to get the shots behind the arc? Exactly Shot charts dont show that. They could have used 10 different post moves to get those baskets inside or passed the ball around for 25 seconds resulting in a open 3. What I am trying to say is not about stats or a shot chart it about playing the game realistic its that simple.

When did it become sim to just shoot midrange? I usually take what the defense gives me and if thats a wide open 3 cuz some idiot wants to run around reaching then I will. If I have a player that is 85-99 low post, I'm taking that high percentage shot.

that also factors in fastbreaks in the paint, which everyone gets alot of in all likelihood

Anyway, if you're playing for rank, there is no such thing as cheese...

As for VIP, it happens. I've played tons of gms where I was playing perfectly sim and I only had like 5 midrange makes... Inside/Outside game is where it's at in 2k...

I dunno... SIM is such a bs term... if you're trying to win most likely you aren't playing sim or you're using some non-sim gimmick to get wins. Most ppl who stay sim no matter what are not even close to the top 100. More like top 2000.

well me and u just played, so how cheesey am i? and like sum1 said u have to take what defense gives u from game to, if my opponent doest have qualty big i focus on post, or if im player gtown the hibbert 10ftazz i focus on jumpers, im playing slo team i try and get out on break, just depends.

Considering most of the high ranked dudes on 360 are fake anyway, I wouldn't need to cheese them. I'd call a timeout and run a inbound play off of a screen and more than likely make my bucket. No one runs inbound plays online, trust me.

If its against one of my guys, I know we're gonna have a realistic game whether I win or lose. I can take my losses like that. I played a cat yesterday that I blew out by 26 because he wanted to double team steal and I made the rest of the game a living hell for him. Yeah I threw a couple of double team steals in there because thats for doing that cheap trash in the first place but if my opponent is playing me straight all game, I have no need to use exploits.

I played my first online game today, the closest I came was within 10 points (I was down the whole time) and yet I still got double teamed every time he made a basket which was a lot.
