Why can't I play this game online(PS3)

I connect to 2k server and I am trying to play with my cousin. Everytime we accept a challenge it won't go any further than that. Also wtf is everyone online, no one is in the lobbies. I imagine its because no one else can play online either. This is copmpletely ridiculous.

You have to forward some ports on your router. The easiest way to do this is to enable DMZ to the IP address that your PS3 occupies.
