View Full Version : For 2K9 - school creation and uniforms

It is puzzling but no less disappointing that for the past few years we have been giving the option, when creating a school, to modify team colors, the coach's appearance, color scheme for cheerleaders and court, what the metal looks like on the backboard, and a host of other traits yet we cannot do even the simplest modifications to the team uniform. It would seem that this, above all else, is most important. It is mind-boggling that the option has not been included.

My request is very simple - please include this for 2K9. Additionally, more team logos should be made available for use in school creation, preferably ones already in existence for Division I teams, so that one could select the Clemson tiger paw if his created team was named the tigers, for example. Team logos that minimized the amount of text could be included to give a more generic appearance. Also, simple letter logos should be offered, as well. The option to remove the logo from the court should be available.

As it stands now, the fictional logos included in the game, while certainly creative, greatly restrict the ability to customize a created school, especially since the uniforms are locked to the logo. (what, then, is the point of selected a team's primary and secondary colors?) Most people, when they create a team, use mascots that are more common (eagles, tigers, panthers, wildcats, lions, etc...).

EA's NCAA football series has nearly perfected the create-a-school feature in years past (until they removed the feature, that is). See how they did it to get a better feel for ideas how to make it work much better. For a neat feature like creating a school to be restricted because of the lack of uniform creation and sufficient logos seems to be a waste.
