Last night I was playing and it was a good game. I was down 7-0 and we were playing a good game or so I thought. He wasn't doing anything cheesy and either was I.

But then I got an error that said "Waiting for Opponent" and then it went away and happened a couple of more times before I got booted from the game. But I ended up with the lose and drop and that's the last thing I want. I would like to play in a league, but they want you to have a 90% or so with 50 games under your belt. I don't care if I lose or not, but I don't want people to be afraid to play me either. I will never quit a game unless it's an emergency situation at home. I figure I learn more from loosing than winning.

So I know I didn't quit, but does that mean he quit? What does that error mean?

I've only played a couple of games online, but I would like to know the protocol for when to give people a bad rating. I don't want to give somebody a bad rating if the issue is with the game and not the other person.

So what would I see on my end if somebody quit on the other end?

Thanks.

That, more than likely, was a connection issue. It's happened to me a few times as well. Both winning and losing (losing more often than not, tho... heh).

Welcome to the forums!

Thanks for the welcome.

So under those circumstances, if given the chance I don't give a bad feedback rating.

What happens if somebodys pulls the ethernet cable out of their xbox, do I get a drop or does it show up as they are quiting so I don't get the loss?
