Acctually Ron they used DIFFERENT, AND UPDATED ROSTERS in the final 4. So there is alot of people that would take G town or OSU over florida after they have had all of their rating raised up.

Yup, OSU was the best team at the Final 4.

The made Noah worst(took his blocks way down and handle), brewer worst and they took Hump's 3's down a little.

Conley got bumped to an 87(which made him the best pg on the game) and Oden was made the best player on the game(93 i think).

G town was nice too...Hibbert was a 92 had 99 blocks and high 90's in post off and defense...Green was an 89 and their pg had 88 mid and 88 three ratings.

Actually i gotta disagree ant.. florida was still the top dogg, they came out to a 92 w/77unity after the updates(2 91 ovrs an 89 and 83 in the starting 5), while o- st and gtown were both 87s, ucla was an 86.. heres the updates that were made:

Far from it, don't try and come on here and post something you obviously know nothing about kid...I had fouls to give with 2 sec. left on the clock, while pressing the select button to intentionally foul the middle button got pressed happens all the time at the house just no one ever sees it. Im no cheat, it was a simple mistake which was not intentional and instead of taking the win I insisted on playing the game again..in all honesty the game shouldn't have even been close, but thats another story entirely in which only those there would know about.

^^ yeah it wasnt too bad though, i lost by 3 to ant, there was a certain way to score inside last yr w/small players.. i just couldnt consistently stop ant's postmoves because they lowered Matas formerly 89 blocking to a 70, and lee humphrey lit me the **** up on kickouts and press breaks.. i think he was 6/6.. it was fun though, the whole trip was..
it didnt help that the night before the games started, me, D2B and my boy was out pulling chicks till like 5 am and we had to get up @ 6, it was rough.. ay what were we Breezy? wasnt we the starting backcourt for st. johns or seton hall hahahah :lol:


PS- choops 2k6 best most strategic basketball game ever, choops 2k7 funnest basketball game ever..

Lol GQ we were just talking about that on the SOG boards(the whole 2k5,2k6,2k7,2k8 thing)

Funny thing is 2k8 seems to be hit or miss with most people. Either ya love it or ya hate it.

Lets recap the 2ks.

2k5- The era of the quick post up and hitting 3s from ne where inside half court.

2k6- Auto Reverse dunk. Good game overall.

2k7- Somewhat Arcade like. Overpowered press and 6"9 spin dunk.(always been there tho)

2k8- Most Simulation game yet. Defense is too sticky at times. And CPU block assist too much.

Ohhh and the old school multi names and sneak attacks. Yay!

See my thing was i loved 2k6 because outside of the automatic post dunk points and insta-reverse.. the gameplay was simple and paced.. you had to out think and out-stick people to win.. damn i loved that game.. it didnt have any crazy animations clogging it, just basic handles, layups, dunks and jumpshots

2k7 was arcade, but the fun was in stopping the lane spin, auto-run layups and beating the press.. the tools where there.. very fun game, yet still strategic, but played a bit too fast

2k8 is garbage because they give you lock on-d.. wtf is that seriously. .are you telling me "john q public" can pick up the sticks and be as good as i am on the ball.. gtfo..
They give you cpu auto blocks.. they give you situational layups and ballhandling where you just have to hit the stick and be in the right place and youll do the perfect layup or the perfect dribble.. they give you windmills and double pumps reverses w/every player in the game.. the only sim part of this game is the slow player footspeed.. this games isnt sim at all imo

Plus why should any average player be able to pickup the sticks and be as good as a seasoned player just because the cpu finishes thoughts, moves and animations for us.. poor move by 2k

PS- i never played 2k5 but i heard it was good, had highschool games or something.. i didnt get into video games until 360 came out

I have to disagree with you on 2k8 man. Not every john q player can pick this up and compete with a vet. The thing is, this game is a harder transition from 2k7 to 2k8 then usually. At first everyone struggled, i think i remember prophet saying that had like 28 turnovers his 1st game or something. All i could do was hit long Js in the beginning, now i can drive quite good. This game just has much stronger learning curve then norm.


Oh and Every one listen up on this. This is this years secret move, the key to making 75%+ of your inside shots....... the pump fake. Even if you pump fake and the Defender does not jump for the ball your shot will go in more often from the inside.

The reason i mention it was because you talked about the lock on D. Well 2k put a balancer in 2k8 to counter the lock on D. If you see then lock on to you then you pump fake the CPU will make them jump, even if they didnt want to. So if joe shmo locks on to you and thinks hes a badas5 cuz he can lock on, make him go flying. And i pump fake only a handful of times per game, but if someone is all about lock on, show them the head fake then drain 7 threes in a row. They stop that **** real quick.


But kids, pump faking everytime you get the ball is NOT sim play, same goes for pump faking like 6 times in a row with one player. So don't abuse it, use it.
