this is definately good news. especially since its coming in the spring with no other boxing title to speak of for the foreseeable future.
i hope this title doesnt disappoint. and if they incorporate the leagues like they do with their other titles, this game will be sick.

Only thing that concerns me is that this game is being developed by the folks who gave us those "great" Rocky and Rocky Legend games. I'm hope they make it a true boxing sim game and not some arcade type story line game just to please the casual fans! Make this game for the die-hards! If the casual fans jump on board then cool! Knowing 2K's history with making sports games realistic, i don't think they would let another development company screw this game up.
CAN'T WAIT 'TIL SPRING OF 2008!

2k WONT release a ARCADE GAME, THEY wont.....since 2001 they push for simulation. They had small arcade parts here & there but that was only to gain some attention. NOW that their known by many for their sim SPORTS GAMES, it's time to EXPAND the market. 2k is building a frachise just like EA did & dons BOXING will be successfull...................
this is crazy that were even talking about this...................

Yeah, but why Don King? That man has robbed a lot of my favorite fighters and left them in near poverty.

Well their college basketball game gets more arcadey each year and leaves out sim elements. Bottom line is these developers produce games for the general public who doesn't care about sim style play. Whatever they have to do to get $$$ coming in the door is what will be done. I am afraid that all of you fans of the technical part of the sweet science are setting yourself up for disappointment.

Because his name is and will always be associated with boxing. I dont think its a bad thing. 2k sports is always known for not going with the flavor of the month.

we are reacting to this glimmer of hope that this game will give us the true realism of true to art boxing. all fight styles, boxer types, physical conditionings, damage, offense, defense, conermen, referee, ring girls, training, stables, contracts, promoters, ppvs, venues. . and so much more. . EA cant seem to get it done for us, but now 2k says they can do it. . , EA has promised to do but cant up wayyy short everytime. Now 2k sports says they can do it. The next gens are here, and with games like ASSASSINS CREED, there seem to be no freakin way in my mind that a true to life boxing game cant be created with all the detail of current gen super games. i hope 2K has read our posts on what we want in a true real boxing sim. I hope they have heard our complaints about EA Sports. I hope they have understood that gamers want this true boxing sim. I hope that give it to us. ARE You READING THIS EA?? ARE YOU READING THIS 2K??? bring it.
