View Full Version : What presses are cheese?

Seems like the 2-2-1 is to me... Reason being that your PF takes the ball out instead of your SF. Also, instead of having your SG and PG back, you only have your PG back. So, basically your PG and PF have to work the ball back and forth because if you pass forward someone will have their tallest player standing at mid-court jamming the steal and jump buttons. It seems like a huge glitch to me and as I recall has been in past games...
What is your opinion? I would love to know.
Out of all the presses I have seen... This is the only one that seems like a tunover glitchfest waiting to happen. The rest seem realistic (as long as your not getting the double team/x glitch)... However, all presses do not handle fatigue as they should...and that is the main issue.

No presses are cheesy this year, but players should tire quicker the more they press.

could be because I play on default view... Can't see the entire floor and that makes it feel velvetta-ish

dunno I play on default view, players go to the same spots on the floor either way so I guess its a six sense.

i agree 100% with this. Had a dude press me with north carolina the whole game and didn't sub even once. It was close...but i lost.....a loss is a loss....but if this is a simulation game....nobody has that kind of energy

All presses are so very easy to beat this year unless u double team steal.

Correction: or unless your opponent forces passes all game then play can get a lil sloppy.

I'm hoping a patch comes soon to fix the double team/steal... But I'm not so sure. Main reason I say that is because they took away the option to double in the menus... For that to be the best option 2k has to offer makes me think the developers really had a rough time with this one. In all the years that I have played this game...since 2k3....there menu options stayed the same offline and online. This was definitely a first for 2k.
Having said that.....this is the greatest college hoops game I have ever played. I am 30 with a wife, family, mortgage, demanding job......and all I can think about is playing this game....lol

I like the Man to Man Press, seems to be more effective at stealing and forcing bad passes if you can keep infront of the PG. It also keeps cheesing down because the only easy way to double team is right after the imbound with the PF and PG which when they pass out of it your whole team is off balance. I like it because it just runs extra clock and if you can keep them back close to 10 seconds they have to try to pass way up court since all their players have left them for dead. I only wish the players understood that they need to come to the ball handler instead of run away to force long passes.
