Just to have the show.... I have read the features and it really sounds promising. But in the other hand we havent heard or read 2k8. I was checking out the graphics and they are much improved, but not up to 2k graphics, have u seen the Manny Ramirez shot, and the David Ortiz one, they are awful, they are way too thin. Come on, u know u don't wanna play with everyone looking as if they weight the same, look at their uniforms they all fit the same.
I'm not all about graphics, but if 2k8 puts out better graphics than 2k7, the show won't even come close.
BTW, remember we got MVP's producer on a full year of work on MLB 2k8. I, like many of us still believes that Brinkman will do an amazing job this year.

Im with you..Lat year I had the SHow and the game was GREAT and all..Gameplay kicked ***** and the game was very fluid. Long story short i had to sell my PS3 for some cash and was left with my 360..I wouldnt trade the my 360 in for the show, but im really thinking about saving some cash to buy another PS3 to play the Show.

im assuming this towards me, heres the thing if baseball is what you like most it makes sense to have PS3 for this reason you Get BOTH!!! so all your points of ben brinkman and all that is fine and dandy but guess what PS3 owners get all that good stuff coming from 2k AND The showl. im not out to start a debate of whats better between the two games im just saying why not have both if u really love baseball because even if 2k eventually beats out the show, the show is still and always will be a great series period.

if they show could implement a swing stick i would get it. i just dont think button tapping is next gen. but 2k needs to fix their swing stick too. its all timing, they need to implement a location somehow. also i think that 2k needs to use what mvp did with the color of the ball on certain pitches, but instead of certain pitches, use color to show if the pitch is in the strike zone or not. for instance, say im throwing a 2 seam off the outside corner of the plate to lefty, the ball would be white up until the last second where it would turn green as it crosses the plate. and depending on the pitchers attributes would determine if its more decieving than others. same with curve ball that starts off high and drops in zone at last second. then at least youd be able to judge if you want to swing at it or not and would eliminate the fools that just throw in the dirt all game. also if your throw a curve ball in the zone, it would be green up until it starts to break outta zone. hard to explain but hope you can follow.

I am going to wait this year till both are released. Last year I purchased 2k7 prior to the "show" coming out. If I am able to get a game that has the graphics of 2k and the game play of the "show" I would be happy. At one point I traded in 2K for the "show". I was disappointed in the "show" so I went back and got my 2K copy back. With the baseball series , I think people are expexting game play like the Madden series or like the College series. If they could bring it that would be great. If not at least maybe try something close. I just hope they improve the game this year and not have so many bugs. I understand all games can't be perfect , and I don't expect it. 2K had quite a bit of bugs in it , more that the usual for a game. I just hope they take their time in this matter. Best of luck and I am looking forward to their next game in this series.

I am not a big fan of the swing stick at all..The Show, IMO, has the hitting system right and I wish 2k8 would follow suit.

I like the idea of the swing stick being in the show but it would need to be like NCAA MVP was. they had it right 2Ks swing stick is a disaster. but I do agree a swing stick for the show would be great and 2K really needs to modify theres BIG TIME lets hope they did

either they need to fix the swingstick or go to what konami used back in bottom of the 9th. they gave you a box, the box would be bigger or smaller depending on how good the batter is. then the pitch would come and you would have to move the box to where you think the ball is going to be and then time your swing according. now if the ball was up in the box it would be a pop up and such. in the lower half youd hit a ground ball and such. and if your got the center of the box on the ball, it would be the sweet spot. i just remember that game not being a home run fest and you would have to play real ball to win, even against the computer. it was fun ****, and i remember frank thomas's box being the size of the strike zone almost. but he was a beast back in the day.

No one will trade their system for one game, dude.
