MLB 2K8 should be a very good game this year....Ben Brinkman has had a full year to work on MLB 2K series since joining 2K which will be a big plus....This guy had alot to work with when trying to turn 2K6 to a masterpiece for 2K7. I believe the adjustments he made....made the 2K7 at least playable because 2K6 was horrible....MLB 2K8 will be like MVP 2004 (Pujols on the cover)....It was an amazing game but it was a tweak or 2 away from being great and for the most parts those things that were missing we didnt even know it until MVP 2005 made those changes....So in short i believe this game will be great...Brinkman already has the experience and knowledge of what made MVP a success....this is his 2nd year working with this system and I think this time around he has a feel for what works or doesnt....and will bring forth a pretty good effort....

Yes if people dont know the Ben Brinkman story heres the breakdown:

Brinkman was a developer for the MVP series for EA.
once that series was run out of business by 2K he joined last year and made one of the best looking sports games of all time (2K7)

In his blog he was stated saying he had a 3 year plan to make the 2K baseball experience one of the best baseball fans would ever encounter.

Year one was 2K7 - Improved Graphics and Franchise mode dramatically

Year two 2K8 - apparently main focus was on gameplay thank god this was according to the articles that announced Reyes was on the cover.
Also full 40 man rosters with the option to play games in the minors A, AA, AAA all teams available no exceptions. this was stated in and article that mainly focused on the bigs in june on IGN
Year three will be guess... 2K9 - This should be the final touches of Brinkmans 3 year plan and most likely will be the most solid game this series has ever had.

Theres the breakdown im pumped for 2K8 for sure cant wait to see some previews

i have total faith in brinkman to produce a great game. just need to turn power down, cuz its far to easy to blast hrs. for the leagues i made, i turned power to 0 and it made for realistic numbers and what not. but they need to implement more than just timing to the swing stick.
