I preface this by saying I love online play and I think it could be wonderful if some adjustments are made. Here is my list and I am sure I have left some out.
GAMEPLAY
1)Do away with pinpoint pitching and make it tougher to hit your spots. Also, all low sliders and sinkers do not get hit on the ground. There are spots you can hit while pitching to get an automatic groundball just low of the strikezone. All pitches up and out of the zone don't get popped up either.
2)The homerun derby that is online play needs to come to an end. David Eckstein should not consistently go yard and A-Rod should not hit 3 homers a game. He hits 1
3) Matt Diaz is not spiderman and does not climb walls with ease and the same goes for many other players in MLB.
4) Just because my pitching coach goes to the mound does not mean my reliever is automatically ready.
5) The curveballs, particularly from a few pitchers, are overly hard to judge. Roy Oswalt comes to mind. He does have a nasty curve but good grief the one on MLB2k7 is ridiculous.
6) The two competitors should have to play by the same standards. Swing Stick vs Classic, Payoff vs Zone (do away with pinpoint please SEE #1).
I love the presentation of the game and I wore this game out but a few improvements would make 2k8 a thing of beauty. Continuous improvement is a great thing and I hope MLB 2k8 can be what I think it can be.
