Future MLB 2K ideas

alright I just think this should sort of be brought back...but does anyone remember in the old ASB series when you could create your own teams and use them in a dynasty mode?! I think that should be in MLB 2K series...like you get to place the team, pick the mascots, choose the stadiums, draft some players, and maybe add a few things like ticket prices or something!! plus I think another idea is to add Spring Training games to the schedule...idk that's my idea...what do you guys think?! should this be in a future MLB 2K game or what?!

one of the things i liked about asb was the scenario mode where you could relive moments like the nlcs between the marlins and cubs when steve bartman caught the foul ball.

Ya that would be cool but they will never do that, at least for 2k8 since they didn't have enough time to develop it.

do u remember in asb the directional hitting? I think that would be sweet! You could put the ball just where you wanted to. so if there was a guy on 2nd, you could hit a groudball to the right side and move him over. i think it would give 2k8 that sense of realism that it needs. well thats just what i think.

I don't think they need stuff like that. Instad of adding additional features they should focus on creating solid gameplay and perfecting the features they already have. I'm sure that's what they are already doing.

What they and the other sports games should do is you should be able make your own logos by basically just having the program "Paint" on the game then once you've made your logo you can save it and put it on your jersey and helment. This would be hard until you get good at it so then they should still put in their logos. But not only should we be able to create the logos but create stripes on the side of the jerseys and pants in whatever design we want.

Do you mean like the program in Forza. If you do that would be a great idea.

In almost every 2k sports forum, for every 2K game, someone mentions having the ability to create logos with a paint program. But 2K has long since answered that question with a resounding no. The explanation being they don't want people creating vagi.nas, pe.nises and swastikas all over the place like you know a bunch of idiots would. So because of a few idiots the rest of us miss out. They should do it , however, and have a reporting system and a staff member who's job is to weed out and drop the ban on people who violate the paint system with offensive material.

Yes your right but its .ot like we can go online with created teams anyway unless they make that an option but if they do then they can just delete that person off the board for making a bad logo or give him a warning to make another,

I don't know...maybe its just me but I'd like to see the ability to a) charge the mound b) be the manager and argue a call and kick dirt and all that good stuff...and c) a story mode thing like the life in nba 06...not like madden's watered down superstar mode...

pick a place, pick a league, build a stadium, and pick a mascot then an expansion draft where each current mlb team protects 15 of their players and you get to pick whoever else is avalible, just like in the mlb when a new team comes into exsistince

Here's my ideas for MLB 2K8. 1. Improve the fielding in 2K8. it was ok in 2K7 but overall it needs to be re-done to look more MLB like like a real MLB game. 2. Try to include the music that real MLB ballparks play like the tomahawk chop music, jump on it (braves version), gone by mcgumerly gentry ( braves version) at Turner field. The police sierin at jacobs field after the indians players hit a home run. also have some other sounds that the real life mlb ballparks play. 3. Improve the batting and pitching system to make it more relistic. 4. Have all the minor league levels single-a ,double-a and, triple-a. I hope the makers of MLB 2K8 are reading this. I hope MLB 2K8 will be just as good as 2K7 and even better in my opinion. I can't wait for baseball season to get started again in March with spring traning and Can't wait to play MLB 2K8 when it comes out in feb. or march 2008. GO TRIBE.

My idea for mlb 2k8 would be to improve on the batting and pitching. I like the batting and pitching for MLB THE SHOW i feel that its just more life like. I love the graphics FOR mlb2k7 but the game didnt seem to be much fun. I was very disapointed about the hitting and pitching since thats the number one most looked at thing in as baseball game. I pretty much like the gameplay of MLB the Show and the graphics for MLB 2K7. I wish that the hitting and pitching can be more like the way it is for MLB THE SHOW, but the graphics like MLB 2K7. That would be my perfect game.

I would love it if they offered a "Field of Dreams" feature...I don't think it would be that hard to implement..

- Just allow the legends available to be played in Franchise and Season...

- Total edit, so we can edit the great players of the past to make a timeless all-star franchise...

- Add a scroll feature, so you can pick a scanned face that looks like the old time player we are creating...( 600 or more to choose from )

- Classic Stadiums, old school uniforms and equipment for Franchise & season...

- A choice of years, if you picked 1955, you would only get the teams of 1955' these teams would sport the uniforms of 55' plus they would be located in the city each team was in, in that year...

- If you choose 1955 and you pick the Dodgers for your team, the announcers would refer to them as the "Brooklyn Dodgers" plus since this season would step back to 1955 the team would automatically be dressed in their 55' Dodger home or away uniforms...

- A "Text to Speech Synthesizer" would be an asset when creating players with unusual names that don't make it on the Name Database... This technology is is at a acceptable level these days...

the logos for the team would be pre-set, but you pick the colors and everything else!! and then if you wanted alternative jerseys, you could do that too!! and I want it to actually say the full team name and everything else like "Hello we are live here in Little Rock, Arkansas for this match-up between the Houston Astros and the Arkansas Rivercats here at Pepsi Field"....idk...I just picked those things randomly...I'm actually from Michigan, but hey you know...totally random stuff!! also the create an entrance thing needs to get in effect...I remember playing 2K on the original XBOX and my songs wouldn't play when I came up!! that needs to go in effect!! I like the idea of when you hit a home run or something, the actually home run things happen!! I wanna see the dang water fireworks at Comerica Park actually go off along with the Tigers' eyes lighting up!! everything needs to work perfect!! speaking of that...when you create a team, you should be able to create what home run effects should happen like if during night games, you want fireworks and then like a feature you added to your park to work...sorta like the Big Apple for the Mets you know?! anyways those are a few things I thought of!!

The option to relocate or rename your franchise or build a new stadium, a la Madden. The Marlins are planning a new stadium and a name change to Miami Marlins (I believe) and I think it would be cool to do things like that in the game
