Is Earl Campbell exactly the same as he was before? I really think that the update only did 3 things. One, make the create-a-player height rescrition to 6'6''. Two, put the generic gold corner in the game. Three, take away the field goal glitch. Other than that, I have seen no real differences in the game. The running game is still pretty easy. Earl Campbell still runs over players and shrugs off tackles as if Teddy Bears were being thrown at him, and the DB's play as they always have. Not to mention, the patch was a really really small file. I downloaded it almost instantly, and my connection isnt good at all. I usually only download files at a rate of 150 kbs, which is pretty terrible nowadays.

So yea, am I the only person who thinks Earl is still Earl, Barry is still Barry, Jerry is still Jerry.

Not even close IMO. Earl breaks way less tackles than before and seems a tad slower.

The update also took the accelerated clock off of online play and I don't think you can do the field-goal blocking glitch anymore.

It did a few things. But I don't know if it toned down running-backs. I think some people assume that.

But idk. I played a guy with Earl and I shut him down pretty good. So maybe they did do something. But he still broke a little too many tackles here and there.

You know what would be awesome ? If 2k came out and actually confirmed what their update did. It would be appreciated.

the cheapness of this game is stupifying. the AI is deplorable. The animations screw you over countless times each game.

I still play it though. Its the best we have. **sigh**

Earl is only pre-patch in the 4th quarter. In the first 3 quarters, he's silver rated at best

BTW people can still block kicks whenever they want. I was miked up w/ a guy last night who said he could do it and did. 9/10 success rate. O well. I guess if someone is completely committed to finding a glitch they're gonna find it.

I don't field goal glitch yet I blocked an extra point two nights ago in a lg game.I have blocked a few field goals before I blocked one in my first game online in july.. I don't even know what the field goal glitch is and I got this game on day 1 lol.

if you come out in field goal block and happen to get one, cool. watch out for the goalline D users who bring a safety up. a bit different from the old glitch but the same result. Most won't bust it out until you're about to kick a game-winning FG.

I am straight legit when it comes to playin this game idc about stats and wins just playing a good game. I have more wins than losses but i don't really care so much as getting a good game.

Yea, that's true. It's easy to block field-goals.

But they had a glitch where you could keep backing up into the stands and when the ball was hiked, your guy would automatically be in front of the holder.

But you can't do it anymore.

A LOT more fumbles, one or two a game now. It is ridiculous, but I love it, and Earl is horrid now, when I see him on a team, I begin to figuratively speaking ''lick my lips''
