This isn't a flame thread. This is a walkthrough. I've never played the guy before today, so this was...different. I was bored. :\

Anyway, the team I chose had an all-star offensive line, all bronze. I had Ben Coates at TE (kinda wish I'd stuck with Billy-Jo Dupree, but meh...). He immediately doubled Coates. I had Harbaugh at QB. On D, I had a Gold DE, and a silver DT, both pass rushers and sack-masters. Gold OLB, pash rusher and sack master. Joey Browner at Strong Safety.

On defense, stopping him is a matter of manually covering the target he "wants". This is a guessing game, but if you guess right, you'll blow up the play, because he has no idea where to go, he has no progressions. Pass rushers help, but don't bet on sacking him. He has a Silver CAP QB that has rocket arm. I watched him three times pass for 70+ yards downfield to his Gold CAP WR. Off the wrong foot, with pass rushers in his face. He simply runs backwards until the WR is clear of coverage, and lets it go just ahead of the rush. He also has Earl Campbell. Shutting down Earl, impressively, wasn't all that hard. I just manned up my Gold OLB on him on downs that were obvious running downs, and tried to guess where he'd go, which was usually right up the middle.

With my D, I got 3 INT's, and 2 forced fumbles. That always helps.

Against your offense, he has 2 primary tactics. The first is goal line defense, and has all of his stars crowding the box. If you even think of running the ball, he'll audible into this immediately. As a result, running the ball (at least with my personnel) was futile. Far more productive against this was to get back in an empty shotgun formation, All Streaks. I had 3 WR's wide open every time for a TD. I cashed in on that twice and I finally got him to buy a clue.

Tactic number 2 is that he will move all of his d-linemen to one side of the line, giving him an artificial pass rush, while leaving everyone back in coverage. The trick on this is that if you've been in an empty gun, you can't easily audible into a run. :\ If you come out in an I or anything that places you at the line and a RB behind you, he goes to goalline. There are tactics with different personnel that would blow this up, but I painted myself into a bit of a corner on that one. My solution was simple - roll to the opposite side. Since I had star linemen, this gave them time to adjust and block. The problem of course is that this takes away half of the field of options. I made due, but got picked 3 times against this tactic. Had I even a single star receiver though, I'd have scored TD's on all 3 of those, because on each I hit a receiver right on the hands and they dropped it, and got picked on the very next down. The trick is not to panic and use his strategy to your advantage. If you roll to the opposite side, you should have pretty much all day to throw. If he blitzes a LB or Corner, you should have a WR sitting open for an easy pickup.

That's pretty much all there is to it. Against his offense, he gets frustrated and will just drop waaaaaay back and bomb it to his gold WR. Don't fall into the trap of doubling that guy though. In fact, his favorite target is actually his silver TE. Cover him manually, and put a star cover man on him if you have him. That throws him off right away. If he bails more than 10 yards (and he will) drop the TE and bolt for that gold WR, because he's already made up his mind and as I said, he has NO progressions. He knows before the play where he's going and that's it. If you pick the right receiver, you blow up his play, period.

I think that's it. He'll put up points on you. With that cheese combination of QB and WR, plus a silver TE over the middle on just about every down, let's face it...he's going to score, and he's probably going to hit that bomb to his WR once or twice. Be slow on methodical on offense. Frustrate him. Take the easy score if he gives it to you (goal line vs your empty gun), but otherwise don't be afraid to nickel and dime him to death, leave him on the sidelines to rot. Keep it close, and you'll have a shot on him in the 4th quarter.

The only play that gives me problems when I played Ice Thor Zeus the plug pulling....How do I prevent him from pulling the plug with 2 minutes left and taking his ***** whooping like a man?

Hmm......

So he has two CAP's, and runs a goaline every down, but he says he is the sim king.

Doesn't sound so sim to me.

Good job Numbski

You make it sound like hes really bad. How is he ranked #1 if he plays like a complete noob?

Your games played weighs more than your W-L record

The whole ranking system is a joke. Im a .500 player, I don't quit or drop and I'm in the 100's now. I see people that are 46-18 and ranked 700.

In my opinion there should be no ranking system..It should only show total games played plus your quits and drops..Also they need a deeper VIP system...Rank means really nothig..Cause you could quit games b/c of something came up and you had to leave..But everyone thinks that you are a cheeser..no need for rank..If their not going to have player rankings then why do we need online rankings..They should have attributes like the players..Like SIM player, no quitter, un-droppable, or good opponent..There is no need for feedback system.Cause no one uses it seriously..All the cheesers just give bad feedback no matter if the person was system..
