why doesnt one guy just work on sig styles .. like all the pitchers, batters and all that .. i mean you could at least do probobly 1 team a day so about 31 days

I don't see why they can't get some of the easiest windups down especially because they always mess up Mariano Rivera. They should also give pitchers their real pitches.

how many sig styles does the show have... they BETTER have Rich Hill his windup is one of the most unique in the game .. and Id love to see way more batting stances.. i hate the generic ones.. why dont u jus take those out and give every player the closest to their stance that is on the sig styles .. and get rid of the colored gloves only about 3 % of players actually have team colored gloves

Signature style was a big thing last year, and we just blew that out for this year. It was something that I personally love about the game, just how much player specific stuff we have in the game.
There is your answer they improved on signature styles big time. : )
This is found on page 7 of the ign producer interview.

yea i read that.. i hope hes not lying... because last year on any interviews about 2k7 he just answered positive answers like well the batting is really good this year.. about everything .. i hope they dont do that same thing this year

Yeah I understand why everyone doesnt believe 100% of what he says. I mean after last years game it was somewhat of a disappointment. But like he said he had less than a year to get it developed and going from the mess of 2k6 to 2k7 I think Ben and his staff did a great job. Yes there were a lot of bugs with the fielding and batting but thats not what they really focused on. Graphics was really there main focus (which you can tell). So if they are taking there time with batting fielding and pitching like they did graphics last year then this should be a good year for 2ksports.

Would everyone agree that the one player that needs a sig batting stance is rollins? i mean, the guy won mvp and is one of the best shortstops in the mlb, he CANNOT have a generic stance. Also, jeff kent cannot have a generic stance. Overall there are about 60 sig, stances and there needs to be at least 200 sig stances.

I agree on that, rollins should definately have his own. To me sig stances and are what i look forward to in a game. it makes a big difference to me when alot of players have them

agree 100% with you Jays. I BOUGHT THIS GAME FOR THE REALISM. I expect to see the most notable players to look, feel, and act like themselves. No sig stances for guys like rollins, kent, youkilis, drew, furcal, ethier, francuer, loduca, hanram, mike jacobs, willingham, reggie sanders, aramis ramirez, and many more is just inexcusable. I play this game over and over to feel like my favorite players and be completely immersed with the experience.

yea Aramis Ramirez is a BIG one imo... i bet he put alot in this game .. i guess ... cuz thats what he said ... here are some just on a couple teams ...
Aramis Ramirez
Brian Roberts
JJ Hardy
Ryan Braun
Alfonso's needs to be diff. its completly wrong
Hanley Jimmy Rollins Furcal im trying to think of ones not named yet ....
Mike Lowell Josh Hamilton Dan Uggla Pat Burrell
they should do alot of prospects because those are the ones that get big if they do good this yr... like Delmon Young Felix Pie BJ Upton
some others ... Carlos Pena CLIFF FLOYD his is like no other stance in the mlb ...
Scott Rolen Pujols needs to be diff too he gets too low Eric Byrnes (big one)
Aaron Rowand JUAN URIBE (really unique) Chris Young (D BACKS)
Jim Edmonds Duston Pedroia theres alot more too
ALOT OF PITCHERS
i think they should just get rid of Generic stances and wind ups because no pitcher or batter stands EXACTLY LIKE THAT or winds up like that

when brinkman says he blew signature style out, what does he mean by that? i would like him to give an approximation of how many sig stances he put in the game.

December 17th, 2007, 02:30 PM
khalil greene, adrian gonzalez, nomar (they frigged his up),yuniesky betancourt, yunel escobar, xavier nady, and there are many many more. we obviously need the big time players to have their sig stances, but we also need almost all the starters for mlb clubs to have their sig stance.

yea i dont think itd take THAT long if some one just did a team or two a day... yea i also want to EXACTLY how many he put into the game ... mayb about 50-75 id guess .. when they actually need around 150 more

I also agree 100% about stances.
That being said, there are several stances within the game (last year's) where if you were willing to do the work, you can find them and make the change to the correct stance (or one similar).
All the players evryone listed (especially Rollins, Youkilis, Brian Roberts, Markakis, Cliff Floyd, Jeff Kent, Tulowitzki, etc.) I went through and changed their stances as well as their uniform type, size or equipment.
It does take time to do it all,but I typically spend all of Spring Training watching as many teams as possible and doing my rosters. I also tape Baseball Tonight for about the first two months of the season to watch highlights for stances and pitcher wind-ups.
I'm pretty obsessive when it comes to rosters as for me it's the difference between playing a regular baseball game and playing one that's completely realistic.

the signature swings are something that must be adressed it makes griffey jr look retarted when he swings.... HE DOES NOT SWING LIKE THAT AT ALL and i am a long time griffey jr fan and its annoying... and another thing with the swings, one of the default swings the batter will step out ex brandon phillips. your not even supposed to do that in baseball thats not how you step

Let's give every player that's taken steroids their own stance, now that'd be a realistic looking game!

i think they should just get rid of Generic stances and wind ups because no pitcher or batter stands EXACTLY LIKE THAT or winds up like thatSee, I'm actually the opposite; I really hope that they expanded on the number of generic stances. Like, instead of one high-open stance, they should have ten. That way, those that don't have signature-style stances should still look a little different with every batter.
Besides, generic shouldn't just mean that it can't look unique. They should give enough variation to them to we can find players that mimic those stances. So, for instance, if there were ten stances for a squared middle-bent stance, now we at least have options. It's rather annoying to see the same generic stances over and over and over. If we have variation, we have less repetition.
P.S. Jim Edmonds' stance is badly needed in this game, along with Ryan Klesko and Scott Rolen.

yes muff, scott rolen does not bat straight up. He bats crouched with a wide leg spread. i alway change his stance in the game. hopefully the fix it.
