Any bronze RB other than Okoye or Means.
It's so annoying. Over half of my games are against Christian freaking Okoye. Boring.

I Use Shannon Sharpe, Thurman Thomas and Jim Harbaugh on my teams (never under-estimate that 4th quarter comeback ability. Harbaugh is money with the game on the line). I've never seen them on anyone elses team i played.

i played a game where i was pass rushed so hard every play, my qb always overthrew the recievers... now all my teams have either archie manning or steve grogan. they can be almost sacked with 3 pass rushers about to slam him and they still throw perfect passes.
guava, nyknicks, you guys use ALL of those players??
the ones I use that i never see anyone else use are:

Yep. Most of my teams have players most people don't use -- the less common guys. You won't see me with Okoye, Barney, or Metzelaars.
I have a team of players no uses. The Des Moines Pagans:
Warren Moon
Joe Perry
Jan Stenerud

I am pretty sure I played you the other day. I was surprised at a Warren Moon and Joe Perry team.
And if it was you, I also was surprised when you quit after I was kicking your *** to the high heavens.

I use Roger Craig, A LOT! My offense just has
S:Roger Craig
B:Rob Moore
B:Rocet Ismail
B:Mack Strong (FB Leadership)
I run a lot of flex sets, and Craig usually gets 100 yards recieving and 100 yards rushing. People say he is HORRIBLE, but he has a nasty spin move and is one of the faster silvers, and he is Mr. Third Down lol, throw it to him on third, and he does not drop it.
People expect to use him as a down after down back, if you want that grab a workhorse :)

Merril Hoge, for a FB he's grease lightening and he gets to that hole real quick. Especially in I-form. After Defenses are geared up for Barry Sanders or the Deep Pass to Wesley Walker you can easily put it in Merril's hands.

I tried him but didn't get much production. FB don't perform very well for me. I have better success with Joe Perry when he is a single back. This is online, offline Perry is awesome for me.

i use stabler, salematuatec defense ,brazile. alvin harper, mike noll, rod woodson is a beat on my team, eugene robinson. i tend to use the guys with no attributes im weird like that lol. like wilcots , i used to use metzelaars but now i use the tight end with the bull dozer icon i forget his name , same bronze list, i used to use herman moore and christian okoye. but my cowboys team so i switched to emmit smith but i mainly pass most of the time and blast though with him unexpectedly. when i got the game i used bartkowski but realized how bad he was , jerry rice is insane but i think the best wr is cliff branch tough to stop ,

I love Karl Mecklenberg he's a staple on all of my teams... he's great at nothing, but good at everything. Sometimes I'll put him at OLB in a 3-3 Nickel, then Audible to Nickel Man where he plays DE.... So I'll be rushing Mecklenberg, Manley, and Simmons

yup..every few weeks I switch all of my teams out..my current rotation is a tribute to the warren moon era run and shoot, 85 bears, greatest show on turf rams, 2000 Ravens, buffalo bills, buddy ryan era eagles, steve young era niners, and a gimmick 3-3-5 defense green bay packers logo squad.

No one uses any O-Linemen over the bronze level. Seriously, Otto Graham will turn your line into a brick wall for both the run and the pass...

I tried using lineman it never seemed to pay off for me.

Yeah, I use linemen too. Once I even tried Larry Little (Gold Guard), and he made my line soooooooo much better!
But I find that when you have too many legends on the O-line, they actually play worse, because I once tried (silver center, bronze guards, bronze tackles), and they sucked.

Yeah one o-lineman upgrades the level of the entire line a great deal. It's like the legend o-lineman all have a hidden leadership attribute. More then 1 is just unecessary duplication.
I also find that 2 DT's are pretty useless as well, if there isnt a D-end to go with them. I learned that lesson the hard way.
LSUTIGERSPHXSUNS
December 17th, 2007, 08:59 AM
^^^ Yeah, its like there is a chemistry thing too. Too many players at either O-line or D-line makes them play worse.
DE + DT is better for me than DT + DT or even all legend D-line for that matter.
I thought that an all legend D-line would be so much more effective, but in reality, it just wasn't as effective as a DE + DT combo.
IMO no one ever uses the best overall lineman in the game, JEROME BROWN!!!
LSUTIGERSPHXSUNS
December 17th, 2007, 09:02 AM
I am not kidding, try Jerome Brown out and you will be amazed. He is an amazing pass rusher, and stops the run really well too.

Does Otto Graham really do wonders for your O-line???
He's a gold center with the leadership ability. Surround him with a bunch of generics and watch as rushing LB's get stuffed on the line. I don't know why his leadership gives such a boost, but when I put him in my passing offense team, I had so much time in the pocket it was ridiculous

You are very right: I tried to build a buddy ryan eagles team. They had a monsterous D-Line: Reggie White, Jerome Brown, Keith Millard, Clyde Simmons.
I put all 4 together and they just werent all that effective. I kept white and brown, replaced millard and simmons for LB's and havent looked back.
LSUTIGERSPHXSUNS

^^^ White + Brown, probably best combo in the game. I used that once, and had Rod Woodson roaming the secondary, needless to say, it was pik six galore.

One guy you guys need to try is the bronze CB Tommy Brookshier. He is really good in coverage and has come up with at least a pick per game in the red zone. Plus he is a great tackler, and complements Albert Lewis very well.

I thought that Otto Graham was a QB?
He is, he meant Jim Otto. Unless he is doing some crazy substitutions. Speaking of substitutions does any one think that the old players that were 2 way players should be represented how they played. I was messing around yesterday in practice and put Sammy Baugh as the kicker just to see if they made him able to kick like he did in real life. Well needless to say it was a disaster.

Yeah, and Benardik was a great center in real life but stinks at it in the game.
And Lou Groza was a great Offensive Tackle in real life but sucks at it in the game. I'm pretty sure Lou Groza was like an all pro tackle

mcdaniel is a beast as well,i actually have browner and i usually stick him on a gold rb ,i think the best way to stop a campbell user is to use browner .(damn he hits so hard you could almost fell it dan!!!!) speaking in peters voice he commentator, i love the commentary , theres always something he ssays about every player, its hilarious when he goes off about how that pass was one inch away from the sun i swear and then dan is like calm down peter lol

i had a team where i stayed in 5-2 the whole game and my dline was
gino marchetti
Leon Lett
keith millard
dan hampton
dexter manley
needless to say i got tons of sacks, and throwing deep balls was out of the question (night train and lester hayes kept the wr's stuck long enough for the pressure to come). they'd usually get the deep pass off before any hits but by then the pressure was so high that they always overthrew the pass. i loved using that team against teams with 2 wr's and no star te thats where it shines :D

Otto Graham is the best QB in this game. Try him and find out yourself. He throughs the ball with a quick release, Thorws accurate, throws on the run, and throws 70 yards with ease. He easily the best.
