I need MLB 2k8 to be a great baseball experience like all of us want it to be. 2k8 is the game that would make or break this baseball franchise. I must really point out that i did enjoy 2k7 after the patches and the slider fix, but in the back of my mind i still thought about how things could be much better done.

So this is it, this is Brinkmans show now, this is the title he should prove to us that he is THE MAN to bring 2k baseball to glory. I don't wanna hear 2k9 stuff yet, i want a damn baseball sim now.

I have to agree, they need to step up this year since they have 1yr of development. My expectation is pretty high, if Brinkman failed me this year, I'll be getting PS3 and the show 08

Get the show and PS3 anyways, but yeah I said it on another post this like a boxing match if 2K doesnt deliver MLB the show is going to give it a huge heymaker and leave them hanging on the ropes almost dead. baseball fans shouldnt have to put up with crap like 2K6&7

Crap is right....MLB2k7 was a lot more exciting to play than MVP ever thought about being, so what Baseball Sim has ever been better than 2k7?...I agree the game needs work to bring it up to the level of 2k Baseball or Football, but this endless whining about MLB2k is getting ridiculous.

Instead of complaining about the last 2 games, why not just take some ritalin and wait to see how this year's is before making grandiose statements like that....

Was that the Gamespot score?They gave AP2k8 a 7.5, which is a joke, especially since Madden got an 8.5...guess everything other than gameplay is what matters most:rolleyes: .......

I'd probably give MLB2k7 a 7.9-8.1...the only reason I don't score it a little higher is the fact that in order to have realistic games, radical slider adjustments were needed...I am sick of 2k expecting people to play their games for 2 to 3 months just to come up with realistic slider...the game should be tuned to near perfection before release!!!

Yep this is why if youre a die hard baseball fan and its the main sport u play and perhaps the main reason u own a 360 or Wii and the only MLB liscensed sim game out there is 2K and it fails like it has the past 2 years people will come to the show now dont get me wrong i honestly think 2K8 is going to save 2K baseball i really do/hope but IF... it doesnt happen theres going to be alot of unhappy baseball fanatics making the switch to better their situation. If a game takes MLB rights and doesnt even put out a solid game thats just retarded and leaves us fans with no choice, unless.... u have a PS3 wich is the future anyways, but im not getting into that

in 2k baseball its effin ridiculous how strong the arms of the outfielders are! also, why are the balls so damn bouncy?

The arm strength was toned down last year, but was still a little too strong without slider adjustments...which as In have said, the game needs to be tuned better for default play, or at the least, 2k needs to have some 'preset' sliders for different types of play(hr crazy, low scoring, arcade, total SIM, etc,etc).....


As far as bouncy balls go, I haven't really noticed or heard that, but maybe that is the case...haven't played it in awhile.
