something i would like to see is for ben brinkman to just take to 05 gameplay and just use the same 2k7 graphics with a little changes in signature styles i think that would be really cool because i dont think the swing stick is even close to as real as the pure swing system they used in 05 it just cannot be made any better than that

i completely agree. I still play mvp 05 for my PC and my xbox. But we can only wish.

MVP 05!!!! The best baseball, if not video game, of all time. That game was just absolutely beautifull... and NCAA 06 was also amazing, unfortunately the latter just couldnt keep people interested. Lets face it, college baseball is just too hard to follow. But 2ks version of the swing stick is a joke compared to the MVP games... I played like 600+ games of MVP. In the last two years Ive played less than 100 games on 2k6 and 2k7....

In MVP 05 you had to aim the swing at least on PC. And with the additions of the MVPMods-site this was just amazing what these guys had done with the game.

What about swing stick with the right bumper and aiming with the left bumper that´d be awesome but maybe hard to get the timing right.

What is this perpetual fiction that is spouted every year concerning the swing stick not utilizing an aiming system?....True, you don't always have to aim to get a hit, but it does factor in aiming with the thumbstick as well...how do you think the batter's eye feature works???....I like to 'lock in' a spot...you are screwed if you guess wrong, but that is what a lot of hitters do in certain situations.

From what I have found, the swing stick does give you aim on where you hit the ball. The manual says that if you swing in a circular motion with the stick it will pull or go the other way. In my games when i have guessed inside and swung to pull a slider away, I typically hit a weak dribbler to the pull side. The same is true of the opposite. Try to inside out an inside pitch and most times you fist one to a middle infielder. I thought the swing stick was a better option than one button hitting, way better.

Im agreeing I dont mind the old tried and true way of aim and timing but that should just be the hitting scheme under "classic" swing stick just needs to be redone badly or perhaps like someone mentioned before Aim with the left stick swing with the right one thatd be great too. Im just hoping for some better Sixaxis swings

my opinion mvp baseball 05 is the closest thing to a baseball sim you can get and probably always will be... i dont think any game they ever make excluding graphics will be able to actually exceed it... its really the only true "sim" baseball experience.. i dont think i can ever get tired of it i still play it to this day more than any other game

I want to play Mlb 2k8 just cause the graphics would be good and supposedly the game play. I really would like to play MVP with some updated rosters and graphics.

well ill tell you what you should do is get mvp 05 on the pc cause they make mods for it....i mean no graphic update but roster and uni updates all the time its great...

im an mvp 05 supporter for life man.. its the best baseball game made and that will ever be made excluding graphics....the perfect game

i played mvp 05 and it was one heck of a game. i must have played owner mode every day for 6 months. good times.:D

Maverick you are a dumb f--k! You had to aim the hit stick with MVP 05!!!! You could pull up and in if it was inside and flat out crank them and if the pitch was outside and you swung up and in youd hit a lame duck every time. It was what everyone hoped 2ks swing stick would be.. theyve yet to come even remotely close..
