2K7's wasnt the worst but meh, they need to let custom soundtracks comeback into play that was best thing 2K ever did. xbox 2K5 soundtrack awesomeness. I hate how they always put music on soundtracks no one knows to help new bands and whatever. stick to songs people at least know of
If i could give suggestions heres a few
Bush - Machinehead
Afirkka Bambata - Zulu War Chant
T I and eminem - touchdown
Rage - Killing in the name of
The Roots - The seed 2.0
Nappy Roots - Aw Naw

baseball games have always generally had a rock soundtrack, so i doubt there would be any T.I. on it. i think 2k always does absolutely terrible when it comes to their soundtracks. the songs on mlb 2k6 and 2k7 were horrible in my opinion. EA on the other hand picked pretty good songs for their baseball games. the mvp 05 soundtrack was decent and the college baseball game's soundtrack was awesome!

who cares what it generally had, it should be a mixture of everything ever goto an MLB game? its not all Ozzy Ozbourne you'll hear the T I's the Jay Z's and all that stuff u think Jose Reyes the cover boy is going to come out to some Sublime track? I love sublime personally and im glad they were on last years game but ur not gonna see Reyes come out to santeria lets be honest. an all rock soundtrack is part of the problem

I think they should put in songs that you usually hear while at a game or watching one on t.v.
Or just let us add our own walk-up,HR music etc...Like 2k5 did.I was bummed when I found out 2k7 didn't let you have a custom soundtrack.

The soundtrack that is added to the games are a great stepping stone for artists/bands. Remember when Madden featured a single by Avenged Sevenfold? Or what about the ST for NCAA baseball 05-06? Great rock songs that definately had me buying iTunes of bands I never heard of. I also think that if the machine is capable to create custom STs then so be it.

I like how 2K incorporates indie bands into their games. Bands like DFA 1979 and The Jealous Sound are really good bands that I heard of before the game was released and it's pretty cool to see them get some recognition.
I don't particularly like the soundtracks EA puts out (I don't EVER play EA games, but my brother does), but that's just my opinion. I enjoyed SOME songs on Madden '07 (I think it was). They had bands like Saves the Day and this years version of Madden they have From Autumn to Ashes.

Say how you feel there Metros! Geesh, so much for tempering action with tact.

I don't care about these indie bands, just let me inject my own stadium music along with the ESPN, Fox, and the old NBC Game of the Week Themes for ballgame intros and we'll be set

Some indie bands that are on NHL 08 as The View, The Scanners, Disco Ensemble, Pop Levi, The Ponys, etc. do really ROCK. Any of these bands can make the list in Major League Baseball 2K8 soundtracks along w/ others like Paramore going yard w/ Fences or slugging out Crushcrushcrush. Those, like myself, that have only PSP handle including the Wii, were unforturnate having NHL 08 but am interested listening to each of them on the MLB 2K8.

i hope to god they have custom soundtracks. The show does so its doable. I got a butt load of songs on my hdd and it would be better used if i could have them come up when a certain guy is heading to plate.
Also, i think theres like a wikpedia page that has alll the songs that the players actually come up to the plate too. WOuld just add to the realism

I was confused as to why Nirvana's "Breed," a great song that just didn't fit in a baseball game, was on the soundtrack, but I actually rather liked the way it came out, with a generally indie-rockish feel to it... and half the music made me think I was on an acid trip.
Music for 2K8:
"Sunshine Highway" or "Take It and Run" - Dropkick Murphys
"Pressure" - Skindred
"Well Thought Out Twinkles" - Silversun Pickups
"Thanks for Nothing" - Sum 41
"The Quiet Things That No One Ever Knows" - Brand New
and maybe "Boiled Frogs" - Alexisonfire
All I got for now.

I liked 2k7 a little bit. I thought 311 was the best band on there. I hope 2k8 is more better. At least near a little bit to were I can listen to it loud enough to knock my ear drums out.
