The developers of the new engine are making this game. The tackles do look nice, but I would like to see actual gameplay footage before acknowledging this game as any contender to the current football games. It took Visual Concepts years to implement the football game that they have now. Backbreaker could possibly be a tech demo for the new ephoria engine while the core gameplay could overall be stale and problematic. As we've seen in most games, when inventive ideas are put into the game, there is cause for more glitches as well. We'll see how it pans out though.

I agree, but thats how tackling should look. It shouldnt be a precanned animation EVERY time. and a ball carrier should be able to recieve multiple hits to the body

Absolutely, but that was the way it was done, at least until this new physics engine came to being. They do have the first hand ability since they created this engine, and no other sports developer had access to it yet. However, Take Two is using it in GTA4, which makes some wonder if that means 2K Sports development teams has access to it too. I'd like to see Visual Concepts have this tool. I have more faith in them offering something that would look and also play great.
