I just wanted to rant about what I think a game needs in order for it to be the best. Now with Blu-ray technology, it may very well be possible for it to happen.
Tailing baseballs down the line. I know a lot of you are baseball players and have seen a ball ripped down the line that hooks foul. Or even for that matter, a ball is hit to left/right field, but hooks into the corner for extra bases.
Fair amount of foul balls with different variety. More realistic.
More realistic crowds. I know everyone comments on this, but I also think that a homer should be followed into the stands wherever it may land.
All teams should be user controlled for maximum roster accuracy.
Record tracking - if a player is riding a 9 game hitting streak, the announcers should mention it during the players at bat. All records should be entered into the game database.
Wrigley fans should throw the baseball back on the field when a visitor hits a dinger.
All stadiums should have their own nuances.
Players who are hot, should have a minor boost in categories in which they are excelling in
More camera views
More extra base hits!!! A realistic triple, they do happen you know!!!
Accurate stat collecting. If I hit a triple or an inside the park homer, it should reflect and not say 0-1!!
All players should be able to be edited in all facets. If John Dowd is a switch hitting white guy, then I should be able to edit him to a 40yr old lefty African American #25.
Customizable player movement following the completion of a season.
Better player progression or should I say more realistic progression.
A more interesting home page during seasons, like MLB.com and MiLB.com. If a player hits four homers in a game, he should be the headline on the home page. Also a "Down on the Farm" report that hypes up the next player who should be called up and keeps the manager aware of what is going on in the minors.
Im sure there are many more, but I just wanted to get a couple things off my chest. Comments please!
