:thumbsup: Yeah man, that's a nice joint right there! I think Pac made a special version of that joint for one of Mike Tyson's ringwalks. He changed a few of the lyrics for Mike personally. I think it was for Mike's fight against Buster Mathis Jr. if i'm not mistaken. He did another joint for Mike's ringwalk against Frank Bruno in the second fight. Pac and Mike were cool like that i guess.

That's a good one too! I think Riddick Bowe used that one right before he flattened Jose Luis Gonzalez. Gonzalez had whupped Bowe as an amatuer but Bowe put the "Payback" on him as a pro, knocking him silly in 6 rounds!

My created boxer will have music to go with who they are. If I create me I'm going to use "Bring the Pain" that was the song I use in my first fight as a pro(real pro). The legendary ad people like Holyfield(gospel) will have music that they would come out to.

I like hip-hop as much as the next guy, but hopefully there's some traditional mariachi music or even just some latin music for guys who want to simulate the ring entrances of some Mexican fighters (it always kills me how in the PS2 Fight Night games, you've got guys like Erik Morales and Barrera walking into the ring with generic hip-hop beats in the background).

I hear you on that, but there ain't nothing like playing your own music for a ringwalk! I mean, fighters choose their own music in real life, so why not have it in the game. But you know what boxing game had the latin music for the latin fighters? Knockout Kings 2001 for the Playstation. In fact, i think it was some mariachi music playing when the latin fighters entered the ring. To me that's the only boxing game that EA got halfway right. Their next gen boxing games suck!

If we had that feature, I would make it as authentic to boxing as I possibly can. Meaning I would record in the ESPN Boxing theme, HBO Boxing theme, the HBO 24/7 Theme, Showtime Boxing Theme, etc.

Seriously, I would be willing to bet the (non-existing) farm that 2K will get the music right. Even if there are no custom tracks, they'll have an array of music for different nationalities and styles/genres.

Good for you dude. As you know most boxers make their ring walk to a different song almost every fight. So since it's impossible for 2K to license every song a fighter has ever used or might ever use, we're just throwing around options should they choose to make a custom soundtrack possible (which I doubt). But whether or not the songs are for created fighters or built in fighters is a tad nit-picky dontcha think?

I think everybody agrees that 2K should include realistic options built in to the game and I have no doubt that they will. But if they make a custom option, people can choose whatever song will make them, as the player, get amped up to play. Again, I doubt they'll include this feature though.

How is that doing what EA did? I don't quite understand what you're saying. I think you should be able to choose any song you want because i've seen different boxers come in to all kinds of songs. I remember Riddick Bowe coming in to Phil Collins "In the Air Tonight" during the 1st Holyfield fight. My point is who's to say what's "appropriate" and what isn't? That's the beauty of having a custom music feature, you can try all kinds of different things. I don't think anything is set in stone as far as what music is appropriate for what fighter. It should be up to the individual gamer.

Are you basing it on race? Only black fighters should come in to Hip Hop, white fighters to Rock, or latin fighters to Latin music? I don't quite follow when you say what's "appropriate for the boxer." I agree with Ghetto Phenom, that is some nitpicking.


I think there's a good chance that we may see a custom soundtrack feature in this game because 2K has been known to do it in other games and that's a big part of boxing and if they want to capture the realism as they claim they do, that would be a good way to do it.
