On Gamestop.com and ebgames.com the release date for mlb 2k8 is march third while the release date for mlb 08 the show is march fourth

again these sound more realistic than gamestats.com's march thirty-first but are still tenative

most companies claim its being released a day earlier, but thats just to the stores not to the consumers from the stores in most cases. meaning the game may arive march 3rd at night at lets just say wal mart but wont be in the window to buy until march 4th. same goes for cds and movies. so yeah release date is the 4th unless you get lucky or work at a derpartment store or something..

I worked at Gamestop when I was in high school.....March 3rd is the release date....2K will literally release the game on March 3rd, meaning they send it to Gamestop next day delivery by 10 AM....The game will be in the store March 4th right around the time the store opens and go on sale March 4th....but technically its out on the 3rd.....Gamestop never gets games at night....they always get it either DAYS in advance and sell on the date it was intended too or they recieve it first thing in the morning the day of....

hmmm... thats wierd why wouldnt they just have it on the shelf then? im not disagreeing its just kind of stupid. I guess I dealt with some Moron when i looked for 2k5 mvp 05 back in the day thats what the guy told me the whole they cant sell it till the next day thing

They can't it's illegal to sell it until it's official release date. I used to work at Circuit City and we were told if we sold them to any before the release date we would automatically be terminated if they found out.

You are 100% right about that.I Use to manage a Blockbuster and if you get caught selling or renting games before the release date, you will get fined and lose your job

Well you can get it. You just need to go to a Mom + Pop store. Then you can get it about a week early or just couple of days.

JMILLHIMES - March 4th is the correct release date. I saw a 2k commercial last week with the same date.
