Trouble challenging oppononents online PS3

Every time I go to the lobby and find a room with people in it, I send a challenge to them. When they accept I get a message on the screen that says "Starting Game"
About 20 seconds later another message pops of that says this game cannot be played and to consult the online FAQ. When I try to go the the FAQ, it is unavailable!
Does anyone know what the hell is going on and why can I only play in quick match?? Thanks!

Well I had the same problem earlier before. But I figured out that you have to port forward 4658 to the IP address assigned to your PS3. It helped me but I have to be challenged by someone in order to play and I can't host games. It tells you to port forward in the manual of the game.
