I personally don't care, but I think as long as you don't make him completely out of proportion, no one will really care.

I'll play CAPS as long as they are real players.
I will NOT play guys with players on their team like: HB #69...1st name only or fictitous names. Thats just asking for a headache.
I also show my opponent my CAPS so they can see their height, weight, and attributes before the game as a courtesy.

What abilities were you gunna give Vick? Id say the only ones he would deserve are Scrambler, Speed Burner, Quick Feet, and Cutback ability. For sure no "QB" abilities. What were you planning on giving him?

Really? Because he certainly seemed to have a laser arm to me. That dude could throw that rock like a bullet.
I'd give him Scramber, Quick Feet, and Laser Arm.

I think you mean rocket arm (strength), not laser arm (accuracy).
Vick should get speed burner and rocket arm imo.
Created players are fine as long as they're not built cheaply. This means giving them realistic height/weight and not abusing the ability system (bronze receivers with route god, for instance).
I use a lot of created players these days because I got tired of using the stock legends.

I only play CAPs now and for the past 2+ months. I use my created Washington Redskins (Indians). No one minds, they enjoy it... how can you not wanna see Sean Taylor #21 on the field?
My Sean Taylor / Clinton Portis have 5 attributes and I still have 90% feedback. People are okay with it.

one of the best parts of the game is the created player..... for me anyway. in fact, thats the 1st thing i do when i get any game like this is create ME along w/ my brothers.
i have never shy'd away from playing against people w/ CAPs. i think its interesting to see who they've created and how i can strategize against that player.
obviously it can be abused but for me if i had to do that to win, this game wouldn't be fun for me.
from what i've seen, i can't get people to play a custom match w/ co-op. whenever someone sees that second controller on my side.....whoooooooooooooooooooopppppp, their out!!! :(

Laser Arm is for players that were extremely accurate. Mike Vick was quite the opposite never completing more than 56 percent of his passes in one season, and with a career average of 54 percent. That is terrible by NFL standard. In comparison to other mobile QB's Mike Vick's passing completion percentage and QB rating is terrible. For example Ben Roethlisberger has a career completion percentage of 63 percent, Donavan McNabb has a career completion percentage of 59 percent, and Steve Young had a career completion percentage of 64.5 percent.
Long story short, Mike Vick wasnt that great of a passing QB.
You could give him Rocket Arm, but Id say that would be pushing it, not because he didnt have a cannon, but because he never completed those long bombs down field.

i choose speed burner over scrambler since i'm only making him silver, and when i think of scrambler i thnk of elway and young, because they still looked to pass after they started running (usually) but usually when vick starts running his passing icons come down

Remember, all the scrambler ability does is make the QB more accurate when throwing on the run.
Vick was never accurate in any passing situation. However, he was fast, and he had a strong arm. That's why I'd go with rocket arm and speed burner.

comparing vick to any of those guys is a strech because they are all way better passers in general, but they also have all had good recievers, most of atlantas recievers outside of crumpler would have a hard time getting a job in the CFL, McNabbs best year numbers wise was the year he had T.O. , and i wouldnt call big ben a great QB either, Good, but no where near great considering pittsburg is built on defense and a solid run game

I can somewhat agree with what you're saying, but doesn't his lack of completions have more to do with that fact that he never really had good receivers to throw to? The way I see it is, your QB is only as good as the dudes catching the ball. If Vick hits them in the chest with the ball but they drop it, that brings his percentage down.
You make a good argument, but I disagree...

I was wondering bout the CAP's...Once you earn all the achievements and get the 5 abilities can you give them to gold, silver and bronze players...Cause I was wanting to give Rice some extra abilites but he already has 5 abilities...So how does the 5 abilities work?? Can you add them to star players of only to created players???

How long did it take you to get all of the achievments for that?
Id love to be able to do it..but I would imagine it wold take so long to get all those dang achievments.

I don't have the patience and I'm online only. But i'm luckily found a thread on here where a dude on PS3 posted a .zip which I unzipped to a USB drive and plugged into PS3. It was his VIP with the 50 achievements!!
LOL.. i cheated. I assume you're xbox though... i wonder if you find a xbox friend could do the same for u.

You can get all of the achievements except the online ones in a matter of a few hours.
Just go into season mode and sim games to get the season achievements (makes sure to play the last game of the season though so it will unlock when you get the record).
The other stuff you can do in exhibition games.

No one could evade a sack like Vick.

I definitely don't mind playing against created players if they are legit. Why should I be mad because someone took the time to get all the achivements and I didn't? That doesn't apply to me anymore but I didn't care before I got them all.
Also for any of you that are against legit created players, I have to ask why?
I have seen CAP make the same mistakes regular legends and have seen them blow assignments just like regular legends, so what is the reason you are against someone that uses them?

C.A.P.S are limited and worse then legends, especially when it comes to bronze CAPS. Also they tend to get injured. Legends dont really get injured. Its rare for a legend to get injured. The way I see it online players tend to use it as an excuse. But I will say CAPS are actually good when it comes to DB. My created player Donte Whitner picks off everything and has the speed for the long balls.

I agree with you. The receivers in Atlanta just wouldn't catch a pass besides Crumpler. Vick wasn't too badd of a QB. He wasn't great, but he was okay as a passer.

people usually dont care until they lose. Then they say you cant win without your silver cap QB.

I played some dude with my 2000 Ravens Squad and my Silver Jamal Lewis with workhorse and power attributes tore him apart...he then messaged me saying to play him again with a "real back"..as if my 2 attribute player gave me some advantage over his Earl Campbell :rotfl:

Yea I'm loving my created silver back Major Briggs.. I gave him break away burst and branching tackles. He does what I needed Okoye to do but has more speed. Using this team has super revamped my interest in the game; I try to play atleast a game a night now.

I make created players because they let me build my team exactly how I want it.
Legends don't always have the exact attributes I want, and created players fix that problem.
Also, it is more fun playing with players you follow(ed) in real life than players you've never seen outside of the video game.

I think a lot of people prefer playing against CAP's because, except for the golds, they are in many cases inferior to the available 2K legends in the game.

The bronze level is really the only spot where CAPs don't do as good as the legends, and even then, that only holds true for certain positions like WRs/TEs (assuming you aren't being a cheap SOB and making route gods) and the D-Line.
