I couldnt help myself, the guy challenged me, I was itching for a game, and I just had to see what it was like.
His offense consisted of the following: Run Walter Payton left towards his silver and bornze OT and LG, Swing Pass to Walter Payton, Corner or go Route to Andre Reed.
On Defense..Press Coverage, Blitzing out of the 46.
I played along for a while, pretending that this was perplexing me for about a quarter and a half..I was up 9-7 as I got a PAT blocked and settled for a FG going into the 2nd half.
I get the ball back and promply drive right down the field to go up 16-7..he gets the ball back and resumes his 3 play offense...he gets stoned trying to convert a 4th and 7 from his own 40 on a Walter Payton swing pass. I get the ball back and score again 23-7.
Now he breaks out the no huddle, quick snap offense..getting himself back on the board. Goes for the onside kick..which he doesnt get. Im driving down the field again, and mysteriously, the game starts to lag all of a sudden. I score again. He then comes out in onside kick recovery for some reason...starts no huddling, quick snapping again...happily accepting all of the offside penalties he can get. He marches down the field to about the 10..and gets a Walter Payton swing pass picked off..as the screen goes into countdown mode while Im running it back for 6.
