Charged up QB throw

What determins if your QB can "Charge up" when he throws.

but i've noticed you almost never need to use it, it makes zero diff.

Then you aren't using it right it makes a huge difference. With Rocket you can throw it 30 yards on a rope with Sammy Baugh

Laser Arm makes all the difference when throwing to a generic WR in double coverage. Learn to use it, you'll love it...

can u max-pass a charged throw? seems like that could be kind of tricky to pull off. But yes, you can unleash some howitzer shots with it...its quite pretty to watch.

seriously i get reall good bullets with him, they are not too hard so thats good for the generics and its accurate as hell, i dont really lob alot of my passes but when i do his do kinda float so thats not that good, just leave him in the pocket and use his laser arm the fool is accurate as hell, throws it right where the recievers will be.

Then why do all generic QBs have ability to charge up!?!?

Some silver QBs without laser or rocket can't charge up.. and I realize you don't need to with them so that's fine. But all Generic QBs CAN charge up... :confused:

They can? I never thought about trying it. Are you sure you are not using the scramble button and charging up?

There are two types of charges: Level 1 and Level 2

Everyone has a level 1 charge regardless of their abilities. The only thing a level 1 charge does is increase, slightly, the abilities you already have. It may make a generic slightly more accurate or stronger.

A Level 2 is for those with rocket and laser arm.

Steve Grogan doesn't have level 1 charge. Im not kidding go play with him. Its just horrible.

Yea not every QB has a charge ability. Ken Stabler, Bart Starr, Troy Aikmen, Otto Graham, Roger Staubach, and all other QB's without Rocket or Laser Arm cant charge up any QB only moves. Now if you are to scramble with them they become normal runners and get all the normal charge up moves (Juke, Spin, Stiffarm, Shoulder Charge) although they will be terrible at them because they are QB's.

But yea, not every QB can charge while in the pocket. You have to have Rocket or Laser Arm to do so.
