Beating this guy 21-0
(punisher) can't remember the rest of his gamertag, and all he does is this cadence garbage and it's working Once to twice every drive, man that's crazy!!!!!!!
Cadence 1st and 5, 2nd down run 2-3 yards with Sayers now it 3rd and 2, cadence here we go again, rinse and repeat.
If one thing 2k does next year is take this garbage out of the game.
Lucikly the game unregistered, even though I was going to win it was driving me crazy because I could do nothing to stop it.
Be on the lookout if you ever see anyone by the name of "punisher*****" and he uses Elway and Sayers.

That cadence stuff is retarded. Whoever decided to put it in the game at 2K should be fired.
Cunningham does a pretty good job at it as well.
I had this guy pinned on his 1 yard line, and he got a first down without even running a single play! Two penalties caused by cadence and he was at the 11....

It may be an unfair ability, but Elway was extremely good at doing that in real life. How can they simulate that without it being cheap? Because if you tone it down, you'll have to tone down the generics' ability at doing that as well which means they will almost never be able to do it...

Oh really, silly.........
So basically Elway needed not be a Qb, and just depend on his "cadence" every first down to aquire the next?
Honestly people on forums post the stupidiest remarks.
In a 3 quarter period my defensive lineman jumped offsides 10+ times, that my friend is unrealisitc

Ha. Its always funny when someone defends the oversights however... you gotta admit that.

Yep your're another dumb forum poster aswell.
You lack reading comprehension.
If toneing it down means generics could not be able to do it then great, no good player in this game relies on such a cheap tactic. Who in the world besides a scrub like yourself would even care for that feature.
To me cadence abouse is even worst then the fg glitch.
Elway never in his career even drew the oppsoing team offsides more than 10+ in 3 quarters, never!
So anyone who picks Elways and abuses his cadence is an obvious cheeser and exploiting a glitch.
Defend what you want but in no way in hell should his cadence be this effective.
ps. You nor that other scrub could be me in this game on my worst day, I guess you have'nt heard about me......
Go look me up about #9 now on the leaderboards

Johnny I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you clearly did not understand what I was saying.
I am not defending those that abuse this ability in the game. What I was saying is that the real John Elway was very adept at pulling defenders offside with his false hikes. No, he was never able to do it as often as in this game, but he was more successful than many other QBs of his time.
Because of that, he should be the best in this game at pulling defenders offside. Yet, they should tone it down a bit. Which means that if they tone him down, they would have to tone down the generic fake hike as well. And since generics can barely pull anyone over as it is, they would be practically useless in that facet of the game if 2K toned down that ability.
Got it? Good...

Ohh I understood you fine, I think it's you who does'nt understand me. Tone it down PERIOD, it's a glitch.
If the defense is blitzing, or on short yardage yeah it could work sometimes, but were talking a simple man to man coverage and this garbage works.
Also to all of my secret admires, glitchers, cheesers, do anything to avoid multiple losses , so many tag names, stalkers, haters, followers of every post,350 lb physcos, half directors, boy scouts, pedis, and you name it.

Try holding in the right trigger. I've found if you do this, it somewhat helps against the cadence. If they wanna keep this feature there has to be a defensive counter to it, and something like a corresponding chance of false starts (1st try=25% false start, 2nd 50%, 3rd 100%) Basically, you get 2 shots to try and draw, any more any your offense false starts.

To me anything that doesn't have a counter in this game is cheese. There is nothing on the defensive side of the ball to stop the stupid *** cadence ********. Is there a defensive attribute like Patience? or anything close to that to stop that BS? I have seen Generic QB's use it??? This is the worse thing I have ever seen in a football. This has also stopped me from ever accepting a challenge from someone who has Elway on there team.

There's one.
I know, how about you scoot back your lineman or just don't play him in the first place! Stop whining and do something about. He has a man's voice, is he not supposed to use it? Answer that! No excuses!

They should do it by situation. For example cadence on 3rd or 4th and short should NEVER work because it never works in real life; if you do it successfully once there should be a much smaller chance that it will happen again, and if it happens twice it should almost NEVER happen again after that, and also the O-line should false start if you keep doing it, maybe more on running plays because they are eager to get off the ball. That's what happens in real life. You can't keep those guys down in their stance too long. I would say in real life the ratio of false starts to offsides is about 65/35, but in this game it's about 5/95.

Cadence is 100% cheese and it is the worst thing ever to happen to any online sports game.
Whoever dreamed that ideal up needs to be fired or reasigned and 2K should BE ASHAMED for not patching it out of the game.

Thank you
For other posters who share my opinion on this matter.
NflHitman = a real stand up guy who I resect on these boards, his team, playcalling, and overall amazing sim player.
I played him about maybe 2-3 weeks ago , and even though I lost it felt good because it was straight up skill.
Now to all the other real cats who agree with me, yeah if you see Elway don't even bother.
Peace to all the real forum vets, and straight up dudes
I tip my hat

When I use Elway, I never use cadence. I use him because hes just like Jay Cutler, and his rocket arm and scrambling and 4th q. comeback all fit some of my team's needs.

I hate when I get cadence'd. It gets me so mad when there is absolutely nothing I can do to stop it besides moving my D-Line back, but I'd get a negative for doing that while he can cheat his way for a first down everytime.

I played an Elway user last night and it was quite honestly, the most annoying experience I have had playing APF. I would rather play some nut spasmatically pounding away at the signal stealer button every play.
It was so bad that I am seriously considering not playing Elway users outside of league games.
This clown would use it on every long yardage situation..2nd and 8, 3rd and 8, just incessantly doing it until the playclock was inside 5 seconds.
It was basically the only way he could keep himself out of long yardage situations, which he was in often, since his offense was rather predictable

So after being bashed by the 2k community, now many posters are sharing my experience.
I'd rather play zeus ( pre patch) with 7 ft players than a damn Cadence cheeser, this is by FAR the worst and most utterly ,disrespectful **** in this game.
I will never play anyone who has Elway ever again, just to save my self the headach.

I guess I cannot share in the disdain that this community has for this ability. As I stated before, Elway was very good at pulling defenders over the line. How can 2K simulate that in what is deemed a fair way?
I have played many Elway users but have yet to experience the amount offsides and penalties that everyone else has. Maybe I'm just lucky.
Someone asked earlier what ability counters Cadence: Leadership. The more leaders you have on the defensive side of the ball, the less likely cadence will work. This isn't a 100% guaranteed stop, but since Cadence works off of percentages, Leadership drops the success rate.

That is a great idea limit it to working at most 3 times in a game. That way the person would be wise to not over use it.

I used to use Elway. Never really used his cadence except when clowns where moving there D line all around like idiots. I hate when people do that. I now use Montana for his clutch ability.
