Mark Smith plays similarly to Mike Haynes. He is graceful, IMO the fastest corner on the game. Also, hes sooo elusive on returns, especially when I let the CPU return for me. especially when I let the CPU return for me. .

Actually with everyone doing the corner kick bounce trick I've mastered the art of manually catching the kickoff regardless of where on the field. I just charge and catch. Sometime Irving Fryar gets pumped when he catches hard to catch kickoffs and returns em'. It's cool when that happens.

I don't think he gains a big advantage by letting the computer return his kick-offs. As for kicking to the corner, the returning team has enough of an advantage in this game, without kicking the ball straight to the KR.

Do they kick away from the KR in the NFL....of course they do.

Maybe he is trying to block from him to spring the return. That would take more skill or at least creativity.

I can uderstand why you may be upset though. I had a guy try to give me tips (I am just an average PS3 gamer). He told me to meet him in the custom lobby to chat. So I go in there and he says the key to being good at this game is LET THE COMPUTER DO ALL THE WORK. I almost choked on my beer.

Are you serious? You're complaining because someone lets the CPU return kickoffs? I'd gladly play someone who lets the CPU do that, it's much harder to stop a player controlled kick returner. Sheesh!

Exactly!

I remember way back in the 2k3 days people would let the computer run for them, you could tell becuase the cpu would never charge. This was an exploit becuase the cpu would break an unbelievable amount of tackled compared to a human controlled player.

Also in 2k3 you could ven let the cpu kick the feild goal for you, which was another cheap move for people who knew how to do it.


So this pertains to way back then, that's why it's hella weak.
The cpu generally follows a designed play, knowing it's blockers, lanes, etc.

These are the same people who use a generic lineman and let the cpu play all the defense for them, they don't switch, they don't try to make picks, they don't try to tackle, on offense they don't manual recept, etc., etc.........


If I wanted to play the computer I would do it offline.

I manually control my Linebacker against the run and pass. Sometimes I get burned, sometimes I intercept the pass. The beauty of it is becuase you did it, and not the cpu.

1)I control the MLB on defense and run into the FB.
2)75% of my picks are manual, because I switch to the defender when the ball is in the air.
3)I do most of the tackling by myself (I love hitting the ball carrier's knees)
4)I do the running by myself, because the CPU does it worse.

I do that also(The bolded). But I agree, Its NOT cheese to let cpu return your kicks, because its much much, and I mean much harder to stop the human player:noagree:

I have honestly tried to avoid your ignorant threads the past few days because, well.....they are ignorant. But, you make it impossible to avoid such an ignorant thread.

If he lets the CPU do most of the work then that is his decision and it would make his game less effective but, that is not your decision to make....it is his.

I wouldn't ever let the cpu return kicks for me lol I get good success by myself. I believe returning kickoffs would be my strongest point in this game next to my play at safety.

I stated clearly why this is an issue, because it's a gateway that leads to other problems.

Ever play someone online who controlled a generic lineman with not even attempting to eattack the Qb, then the lbs,safeties,etc. are all controlled by the cpu and that person makes NO manual plays what so ever on defense.

You might as well go play Nfl Coach, if all you want to do is call plays and not manually control your players.
