Recently played a game where I was encouraged after the game to learn some new offensive plays and to mix up my playcalling.

I have over 1,000 plays in all of my teams playbooks which all differ based on the personnel whether its Pass, Run, or more Balanced. This game happened to revolve more around my passing attack playbook which involves a lot of spread and shotgun formations built for quick passes to avoid pass pressure. So is it unsim to run the offense your team is built for even though your opponent consistently comes out in a formation that does not matchup at all with my offensive package all game. Or is this cheese, and as unsim as it can be:confused: ? I'm confused i never heard of playing to a defenses strengths in the NFL before, or in any sport for that matter.

I think you are right on the money. Why play offense that plays to the defense stregths. So if our opponent picks goalline defense everyplay we should all run the ball up the middle? LOL tell that guy he is a joke.

and unless you have a gold running back, you are usually not going to get too many yards rushing against a 4-3 that has an all legend linebacker corp

LankyLegz is a loser and a cheater online. Cries if you beat him. LOL Love those guys that talk big then make excuses when they lose.

I agree I play him frequently, he's never cheated against me before either.

Lol thanks Boffa and S38S. This infinite dreamz guy was like the 10th guy i played after i first got the game. He had a Giant 7'7 HB and giant offensive linemen with a giant fullback and ran jokers power O the whole time and then bragged to me when he won. I told him to play me with a regular team. He did and i crushed him. Wont play the cheeser ever again. Thanks again for the support.

s38s. Feedback = 73%. Discussion over.

This thread isn't about S38S rating. It's about mixing up play calls. Please give some input on the subject.

BTW... Tpat your on my friends list and we have played before. You obviously think i play fair and i am a good player. My rating is 76%. If you play customer matches your rating will be bad just from winning. People dont like to lose.

You play a lot of quick matches and I think that is why your feedback is low.

The thread started

Recently played a game where I was encouraged after the game to learn some new offensive plays and to mix up my playcalling. so it obviously does pertain to playstyle which is part of a person's rating, along with sportsmanship, whether they quit a lot, etc.

Let's not kid ourselves. He is just spamming the forum creating a bunch of posts about Val, all veiled as some sort of "Is it OK to use the same play/mixing up defenses" type of topic. Then you come along and respond to him and bump the post up. I think only someone who is totally new to the forum would be naive enough to think that either of you are actually interested in generating discussion about playcalling, except insofar as you can get other people who do not know the background of the situation or about s38s's feedback (which is low) to agree with you. I guess he feels vindicated by that? I don't know. I think it is much ado about nothing.

I like to try and run a different formation every drive and not use the same play twice out of that formation.

I don't know. I think it is much ado about nothing.

So my feedback is low so what Tpat...big deal, and if you don't give much ado why post? I think this is a touchy subject for someone:rotfl: Look you can have 80+% feedback and cheese, anyone knows that genius, feedback is flawed its been discussed already, there's actually a post about recently. So when you wanna pos about mixing up your play calls please join us.:D And no one said anything about Val.

And if you got a problem with my play style why don't you test me in a "custom match" I'll play the same way I always do and as you mentioned in another forum I'm sure you'll avoid the mistake of not adjusting as a "Self Proclaimed Defensive Guru".:rotfl:

I like this moonwalk thing insert........here.

You are absolutely right. I never adjust on defense. I know very little about it. I just call one all game. You would probably smoke me.

Ok I'll take part the cheater part, but I've never played a bigger whiner in all my life. All the guy does is spread the field out put a man in motion to get isolation and throw out patterns. If that makes him a "Sim" player and part of your club then LankyLegz is awesome. I beat him BADLY!!! Funny how he's posting in a thread about mixing up playcalling.

And the second game he didn't "Crush me" as he said, I had 3 turnovers to his 0 and I think he beat me by 10 points.

This is a guy who cant take a loss. LankyLegz how does it feel to get all that work wiped out with the leaderboard getting reset. Your 500 wins gone POOF! LOL

Get a job and move out of your parents house LOL

The threads aren't about val. Just general discussion on the topic. Why are you always defending Val for him? If he feels targeted let him speak for himself. But again, we aren't targeting anybody. As i said before, if these subjects offend him then that might say something but thats not our intentions.

Turn overs are part of the game. Dont make mistakes. And i played you what a year ago when i first got the game? LOL i haven't played you since. Chances are i didn't know anything about the game IF thats how i played. Now i know alot about the game and run many different plays. If i sent a guy in motion to create isolation which i don't remember doing but if i did you should have adjusted your defense just like i did to your one play jokers strong O play.

Your first win was just cheap because it doesn't matter how you adjust your defense they can't get through 7'7 450 ibs linemen and tackle a 7'7 450 ibs running back. Once you played me with real players you got dominated. I adjusted my defense to shut you down. You haven't played since. I guess you got the picture that you can't be an idiot and be good at football.

I could careless about all those wins. I'm on a 101 game winning streak right now. Thats much more enjoyable then 500 wins and 50 losses.

simple to do when you play quick matches... nothing to brag about

Lankylegz
January 30th, 2008, 06:17 AM
Well i wouldn't say it's simple considering nobody has ever done it but i will agree that it is easier then playing lobby matches. I still have to fight through alot more cheesers then lobbys guys do too. I was bragging either. I dont brag about video games. Just real life ball. I was just stating my record since he was saying i care about the scores being reset.

Lankylegz
January 30th, 2008, 06:19 AM
And btw... they aren't all custom matches. There are alot of good lobby wins in that streak.

amid
January 30th, 2008, 06:23 AM
I have never seen you in the lobby so we have never played. I know you have played 700 games or so and the quick match is where many brand new players go. You mention "enjoyable". I couldn't enjoy winning 33-7 or whatever. I am sure you are a very good player, I have heard you are.

Lankylegz
January 30th, 2008, 06:33 AM
I go to the legend lobby. I dont like to play all pro. It's honestly too easy and too much crap happens with the AI.

January 30th, 2008, 06:36 AM
I do too, if there is anyone in there.

Lankylegz
January 30th, 2008, 06:42 AM
What is your gamer tag? I dont go all the time because there is hardly anybody ever in there but when there is i always try to get a game there intead of custom matches.

I've played many times with Lanky he lives right up the street, he's never done quick match he always does custom Legend not Quick Match, and you not seeing him in the lobby doesn't mean anything, I play lobby games bet you've never seen me there either huh.

tpaterniti
January 30th, 2008, 10:38 AM
Well the last time I played him it was in a Quick Match so it must not be true that he *never* does quick matches.

Lankylegz
January 30th, 2008, 10:44 AM
Tpat, if your doing a quick match search and i am doing a custom legend match search at the same time it will put you in my game. We played legend last time we played. Look at legend rankings. I have played all my games on legend. Quick match can put you in legend or all pro depending on what the other guy is searching for.

LOL kinda a stupid argument but i normally say i play custom legend matches. I dont do quick match. If i said quick match it was by accident. They both the same thing its just with custom match you can determine if you play legend or all pro.

Well since you never could create a player over 7' tall why should anyone believe any of your other lies and exaggerations??

tpaterniti

You could create a 7'' player before the first patch, and many people did.

Some folks just don't know, I had heard about the giants but never encountered one because I didn't begin playing online until what is called "The Patch"

I understand there were a few adjustments it addressed.
