I created a gold Dave Wilcox. Here is the thing i want to know about. I made him a CB but i made him the same size as the regular Dave Wilcox. I still play him at Linebacker. Only thing is he is a CB. I did this because i get tired of Linebackers always dropping int's. Thats just not realistic at all. So to compensate for that i made him a CB so he will INT more. Do you guys think this is cheese? Again, he still plays linebacker for me and is the exact same size as the regular Dave Wilcox. He actually does not play the run as good but he does play the pass better and INT's alot more. Let me know what you guys think.

People will be hollering bloody murder seeing David Wilcox being able to run like Rod Woodson..CB's are markedly faster then LB's. Yeah David Wilcox is fast...fastest LB in the game. outside of DT, But he is still a LB..you make him a gold corner, he'll have DB speed.

yea but he INT's all the crap people throw :). I like that. Nothing aggravates me more then when it hits my guys hands and just falls out. Too many noobs are good cause of that crap. I honestly dont think he is that much faster then derrick thomas and he definately doesn't tackle and get through blocks as good as the real wilcox

Thats alittle cheesy. If anything make him a Strong safety. Safeties are slower then corners but alittle faster then lbs but they dont seem to have that crappy momentum. I have no problem with that because it will hurt you in the run game. He wont make tackles all the time.

Complete Cheese. I would say just make a gold CB with a different name. It isn't right to rename a guy already in the game and give him anything. Because when peopl see your team they don't know he is a CB. Also putting a CB at LB is Madden-ish.

Thats actually very cheesey. Recreating a LB that is known in the game as a DB is extremely misleading. Yes, defensive players drop the ball way too much in this game but that isnt an excuse to purposely try an mislead your opponent by creating a CB and playing him closer to the line. What happens when you blitz him now? Now you have a LB with DB speed chasing the QB. Also, now he can cover WR's cause he is a cornerback and this game gives him more speed and agility as based on the position.
You want to get more picks then pick up another DB and play a base nickel defense. Recreating players with the same name is cheesey IMO.

My thoughts exactly.

Im not disagreeing with anything said here. I think it can be cheese. I was just curious of what you guys thought. I just wish the defense int-ed the ball more. Just trying to correct that flaw in the game. I'll take him off my team.
BTW... i didn't name him Wilcox to mislead, i just like wilcox.

i didnt think you were doing it purposely to mislead because you would have never asked if you were. But if nobody saw this thread and they saw what you were doing you can bet they would give you a negative rating.

i rarely whine about cheese...but yes...this is cheese...for one thing it fools people into thinking you have a standard player...this is a trick a lot of people are using lately

To me Wilcox is the best LB in the game. I get manual ints with him. It surprises me to see a thread like this.. you must use him a heck of alot to notice him not getting the int's. I don't mind people getting the most value out of there golds but this is misleading and you'll see he won't tackle near as well even if you do it. So ya it's going to be cheese but you paid your 20 bucks for the game cheese it up.

I'd say it's cheesy because the reason that the defense drops so many passes is so that there aren't a ridiculous amount of interceptions in the game. Think about it. How many INTs would you get if all your defensive players caught the balls that they should have? For someone in his OLB position, Wilcox does a darn good job of stealing the ball in the way that the developers intended. Plus, given how big your version of Wilcox is for someone at cornerback compounded with the fact that he's a gold player to begin with, he would'nt lost much, if any, tackling ability and would only gain a bunch of speed and hands which unbalances how the game was set up. I know you aren't trying to be cheap, but that's just the way it pans out and I might consider giving you a neutral or maybe even a negative rating if it really unbalanced the game.

Oh, and one more thing in response to an earlier post:

That's the worst excuse for cheese in the history of ever.

LOL! You are a funny guy. I was just curious what everybody thought. I agree it's somewhat cheese. I was just thinking of ways to fix the flawed INT AI

Go to practice mode. Play defense and set Offense plays to random. Learn how to play Secondary, then learn how to switch while ball is in the air and catch the INT yourself!
that will fix the AI flaw.... you do it

I was joking. Besides if your going to cheese then your going to do it anyways.
But what bothers me most is that---When i use dave i usually get fumbles. Which equate to a turnover. Once i got 2 in a game with him. Now as far as turnovers go i think he's good as is. If you really want your players to get more ints. Create a defender that has just the quick feet ability. Then your defender will always be able to get to a area of the field best suited to get one.... then hit "B" and it's up too you!
