Your Wr and Db jump up and the ball is tipped and the Wr in perfect postion to catch the tip and the Db tackles him and it ****es me off because if the balls tiped like that and they both can catch then whats the point of tackling a Wr.

To make sure the WR doesnt catch the ball...

^Yeah. It's safer to just hit the WR than to try and pick the ball... and get beat.

No what im saying is the Db jumps animations in the air from having his back to the ball to hitting the Wr. And I understand that stop him from getting the ball but he gets tackled when hes nowhere near the ball?!?? Wtf???!!!??

I know exactly what you mean.
Look at the instant replays of batted passes at the line and your receiver still gets tackled.
What I don't like about the animation is when the DB would not have been able to realistically been able to come off a jump and make that tackle.
The switch is too instantaneous.
It is similar to when playing against the cpu and you get an INT.
Many times the WR is right there to make the tackle and again when realistically it would not be possible.

They tackle the WR when he is no where near the ball because as soon as the ball is tipped by any defensive player then everyone is free to be hit by rule. So if a DLineman tips the ball at the line of scrimmage then the defensive players can start blowing everyone on the offense up that is eligible for a pass. In other words, they are getting a free shot at the WR, so why not take it?
And I do know what you mean, when the DB starts going into an interception animation and then immediately goes right into a tackle animation on the WR. I believe it's because the ball gets tipped by the DB or is touched by the WR, so the DB was going for the pick, but by default the AI goes into the tackle animation when they get close enough to the WR.
Honestly Im glad that happens other wise there would a lot of missed INTs that go for catches by the WRs.

But thats more realisitic I honsestly would not care if that happend. I just hate how my Wr is right underneath the ball after it gets tipped and gets smashed.

Annoying is the ball hitting my defender in the hands and no pick. Or people constantly forcing throws into triple covrage and getting it thats what I hate. It allows meteocre(sp) players to feel and look like they're good. Not to say I've never just thrown one up and gotten it but I don't just throw them into coverage.

What I hate is when the ball goes directly through the hands of my DB and is then caught by the WR.......I guess some DB's have invisible hands ability.
I have only seen this happen to DB's that are covering Rice....go figure!!!
